While pricey, the litter robot is one incredible machine: minimizes cat-box cleaning, exceptionally reliable, and, happily, easy to wash down and disinfect! I’m saving my pennies for a second one!

I’ve owned a Litter Robot now for about 4 years. Best investment I ever made. Is it more expensive than competitors? Yes, but it’s worth every penny. It does an incredible job of controlling odor. The best part is that it’s super easy to change out the cat waste. I only have to do it about every 3 weeks and it takes less than a minute. No mess, no smell. The cat took right to it. No training needed. I take the globe part of the unit outside about twice a year and hose it down to clean it. The only negative is the cat litter that hits the ground after the cat jumps out, but all litter boxes have that problem. Do yourself a favor, quit messing around with other “automated” units. The Litter Robot is the real deal.

We have had a litter robot for 5 years.  I put a cat door into the garage and built a water and feed cage with the litter robot at the end.  It is simply awesome.  The combination of the low dust and efficient use is amazing.   I empty the litter robot once a week on trash day.  We can go on vacation without a worry.  The best thing we ever did with our cats was buy the litter-robot.

I will never go back to a traditional litter box. My aunt bought hers first, and after seeing it in action, I had to get my own. Saves so much litter! Most people in our area tend to give mini house tours when you first go into their homes to visit. They show you their latest remodels, etc. Not us… our house is too small and insignificant. But we have something FAR more interesting. Whenever people come over, we take them over to our Litter-Robot and give them a demonstration, as we gush about how AMAZING this thing is. At first when I saw it online and had never heard of it, I thought, “Oh, how expensive!”, but then I read about the way its made, how it works, and the values of the company owners, and I bought it… kind of skeptically. I didn’t think this one purchase could make such a difference in my life, but it has.
When I come home tired from work, I no longer have to scoop – because I don’t smell anything. The litter-robot has been working for me all day.
When I am not feeling well, or am truly sick, I don’t need to tend to the box. The litter-robot is helping me focus on getting better.
Because it is a positive thing you almost forget what it is taking out of your day. But when I think back to the tasks I used to perform – three times a day (scooping) and once a week (major cleaning) – it really was a chore. And I no longer have such a nasty thing hanging over my head.
I have two cats, who started in the robot when they walked through my door as kittens I had adopted from the local SPCA. They know nothing different, and I’m beginning to put those smelly, nasty memories behind me.

I just got my Litter Robot yesterday and I am already walking on cloud 9! I have 7 – that’s SEVEN – cats. One is named “King Leo the Lump” for a reason. He was the one I was most worried about using the Litter Robot. He’s huge and he’s lazy beyond words (he was already that way when I got him). Leo was one of the first to hop in and use it. Within an hour, 4 of the 7 had used it. This morning, I have visually witnessed 6 of the 7 using it and I suspect the 7th has used it when I wasn’t watching.

It’s in my bedroom and it is very quiet when in action. I still have one of the old boxes next to the Robot. The amount of litter outside of each box and on the floor is telling. Almost no litter on the floor in front of the Litter Robot.

I’m also astounded with the amount of clean litter that remains in the Litter Robot after 24 hours. I never knew how much litter the old boxes were actually wasting. The proof that the Litter Robot is being used by the 7 cats almost exclusively is in the drawer! The Litter Robot is going to save me a small fortune in cat litter!

All the cats like to assemble to watch it operate after someone uses it. It’s hysterical to see them all sitting in front of it, waiting for the entertainment to start!

Another bonus – there is nothing in the litter box for the dog to go digging up! Yes, on top of the cats, there are two dogs here and litter box raids were a problem.

We are an “elder” family – my parents, who are great grandparents, and I, a disabled grandmother, have mobility issues but our kitties and the dogs are family – our babies. Keeping up with the litter boxes had become so difficult physically. This is box has already improved our quality of life – for us and for the cats. I will be getting another one for the second level of our home in the near future!

The design on this thing is brilliant, but the way. Since it operates on a weight sensor, instead of a visual/motion sensor, it eliminates many of the design issues of other automatic litter boxes right off the bat. The rest of those design issues are answered by tumbling out clumps instead of raking and lifting clumps into a container. It’s just brilliant all the way around.

I have had my litter robot now over 3 years. My two cats, husband, and I are just as happy with it today as we were on day one. One of our cats will find other places to use the bathroom if his litterbox is not spotless. We had tried other self cleaning litterboxes just to have them fail. Do to the cat needing a pristine box, my husband and I were going crazy trying to keep it perfect and keep the cat away from all furniture, clothes, ect. The litter robot gave us our lives back.
