While pricey, the litter robot is one incredible machine: minimizes cat-box cleaning, exceptionally reliable, and, happily, easy to wash down and disinfect! I’m saving my pennies for a second one!

I have struggled with litter boxes all my life. Tried them all to no avail!!!!!! This is the most amazing product I have ever used… I have 3 sphynx and they are very choosy as to where they deposit their waste!!!!! They took to it like new wet cat food…. There is no smell !!!!! YEAH!!!!! I empty it every three days, and it is in my laundry room, just beside the kitchen… Before I had to hurry to get home to clean it every day and night because of the smell !!!!!!!!! I would recommend this to any cattery … It saves on litter too. I was spending 125.00/mo. This last month I spent 45.00!! I can’t say enough about it . The tech support is great ,they are there for you if you get in a bind.. Don’t pass this “mommas litter helper” up .. I have only had the robot 1 day and already really like it! My cat “Dexter” watched very closely as I set it up (he’s always right there when I clean his litter box, then he has to use it as soon as it’s all clean). Dexter watched the first cycle from a distance with very wide pupils. Then the 2nd cycle, he went up and smacked it with his paw, then a friend came over and I showed them before putting it in it’s spot and Dexter went up and rubbed against it! I put a bit of his stool in it to encourage him and put it in it’s place and left the room. When I checked a while later he had used it and I didn’t even hear it run! I have had a scoop free box and you could always hear it run no matter where you were in the house. I was able to take out the old box the same day. What a wonderful invention, thanks so much also for the payment plan and fast delivery.

I have had my Litter-Robot for about 2 months now, and I am very pleased. My two cats started using it immediately, although I did leave the old litter box out for a couple days.

I have had no significant problems and the cats are well acclimated to the Litter-Robot now. Seldom have I experienced a product that delivered so well on its promises.

I’ve owned a Litter Robot now for about 4 years. Best investment I ever made. Is it more expensive than competitors? Yes, but it’s worth every penny. It does an incredible job of controlling odor. The best part is that it’s super easy to change out the cat waste. I only have to do it about every 3 weeks and it takes less than a minute. No mess, no smell. The cat took right to it. No training needed. I take the globe part of the unit outside about twice a year and hose it down to clean it. The only negative is the cat litter that hits the ground after the cat jumps out, but all litter boxes have that problem. Do yourself a favor, quit messing around with other “automated” units. The Litter Robot is the real deal.

Our cat is 14 years old and 17 pounds. I was skeptical that she would be willing and able to even use the litter robot. I decided to give it a try. I followed the advice and set it up in the room where her regular box was leaving the original box in place. Then moved the Robot into the spot where her original litter box was and finally removed the original box. I did place a stool in front of the litter robot to assist my FAT and rather old cat. She began using the robot with very little issue. I did reward her with a treat when I caught her using the robot in the first month or so. We have had the Robot since February and it was a very good purchase. I have recommended it to everyone I know who shares their life with a cat. Thank you Litter Robot!!!

My wife and I love your product. We’ve been using it for a few years now, and just have to tell you what a difference it’s made. It’s under the stairs in the basement now. We never hear it or smell it. We have two cats and take replace the trash bag once every 2-3 days (and we LOVE that we can just use ordinary garbage bags!). I was truly skeptical about purchasing my Litter Robot 2. For starters, cats are FINICKY! Secondly, my cat, Ashley is 11 1/2 years old so I’m quite certain she is “stuck in her ways”! Well, it took a couple of days of letting her old litter box get yucky and she decided that the Litter Robot 2 was a MUCH better option! We did encourage her to use it by making the opening to her old litter box a little less convenient with a blanket draped across a portion of it. Much to my delight, Ashley has taken to her new “potty” far better than we EVER expected! She LOVES it! Needless to say, I LOVE it too! This thing is absolutely phenomenal!!! There isn’t another self-cleaning litter box on the planet that compares to it! Let me just say that I have NEVER, EVER considered being a salesperson, but after buying the Litter Robot 2, I honestly believe I could sell these things door-to-door, simply because I have such FAITH in the quality, workmanship, ingenuity, AND ease of use of this product! I would like to KISS the inventor! (Well, maybe not…my hubby might disapprove!) I cannot say enough good things about the Litter Robot 2! I was also afraid that if Ashley HEARD the machine working that it would scare her away from it. The first time she saw and heard it her eyes got huge and she was rubber-necking to get a good look and I thought, uh-oh!! So I began talking to her as I always do and diverted her attention from the Robot. It worked great! The Robot doesn’t make much noise at all, more like a “humming” sound and the movement is slow and steady until it is finished. She now never even looks over at it when it is “doing its thing”! Every once in awhile, I’ll be passing through the house near the Robot and I’ll hear the little motor kick on and I smile and say, “Thank You, Lord and please BLESS the inventor of this miraculous device in every way he or she needs to be blessed!” I ABSOLUTELY am THRILLED with this product and I would recommend it to EVERY cat owner. You may as well not waste your time shopping for THE perfect litter box…you can ONLY get it here! Perfection in cat litter boxes has been created FINALLY!

SUBJECT: It’s been a year and the verdict is in on the Litter Robot II.
CONTENT:
I purchased the Litter Robot II a year ago from a Quebec based online reseller for Canada and I decided to wait a full year before I passed my final judgement on it.

Well, times up and the judgement is in!

Litter-Robot Inc makes some pretty lofty claims about their products. They’re not unique here though as most of the automated litter box companies make equally lofty claims about theirs. However, unlike the others, Litter Robot delivers on ALL its claims. I don’t say that lightly, I am a very harsh critic of companies and their marketing claims, believe me. But in this rare case it just happens to be true, they deliver on all of their promises.

Don’t get me wrong here, this is not a miracle product. Fairy’s will not fly away with 24kt gold poop-lets lovingly ushered out of your angelic kitty by the Robot. They don’t promise that, all they promise is a convenient, hassle free and easy way for you to deal with cat poop while at the same time enhancing the cats lives.

Here are my experiences after one year with two cats using it exclusively…

1. Odours: Here’s the poop, empty the bin once every couple of weeks and you will not have any odour in the house. You may sometimes smell some odour right around the robot but thats to be expected occasionally and it is rare anyway. Let it go longer than a couple weeks and you’ll soon know it.

2. Uses less litter: Yup, that’s for sure! In the year I have owned it has used 6 12Kg(26.4 lb) bags of litter. One bag every two months. I’ve owned cats for the last 20 odd years and one bag every two months is amazing. I use ProNature clumping litter (works great in the Robot and is enviro friendly).

3. Easy for cats to get used to it. Well, Yes and No. You have to apply common sense here, you know your cats personalities best. In my case I have two cats the same age and got them as 12week old kittens from the humane society here in Calgary.

Their personalities are opposites. One is fearless and the other very fearful. They were also less than the required weight for the Robot when I got it. So, they had it for a few months where it was off and I cycled it once a day myself.

When it went full on and automatic they were well used to the movement and sound it makes and neither had any problems adapting to it at anytime. So, check.. it was easy for the cats, both cats.

4. Ah,… the Sound it makes. I was concerned about the sound before I purchased it. I had watched a youtube video or two and read some comments here and elsewhere that it was loud.

It turns out the youtube video was much louder than real-life. I’m not sure why that would be, but mine is fine for sound. It’s not quiet, but also not loud at all. I have it sitting next to a den on my lower level. There is no door in between, only a curtain, and, I spend quite a bit of time in the Den. I hear it when it goes off initially, but it then immediately blends into the background. I continue on working or watching TV without a second thought.

5. Setting the Weight for the cat. Ok, I had some problems with this one.. I still do actually. I think its not just about setting the weight but also what type of floor it sits on. Both in combination was my problem.

I have it sitting on tile (12×12) and if it sits just off a bit with a wheel or two on the grout line the auto start feature doesn’t work well because when the cat enters the robot tips just a tad taking weight off the sensor that starts the unit.

Changing the weight setting, which I originally thought was the problem, didn’t make any difference. I have to attribute this to my fault though… it was a DFU and common sense failure on my part. LOL.

6. Build quality. You got no concerns here, move along, move along. Joking aside, the build quality is ok, the bubble unit I got is a tad warped which makes the motor go urgh briefly in one spot during the cycle.

What’s really important here though is the quality of the parts used and the motor and here they nailed it. The motor is more than powerful enough and even during the urgh moment you can tell by the sound the motor makes that it having no problem at all with the mildly warped bubble.

I would rather have a great motor that can deal with normal manufacturing variations in the build quality of the bubble than an underpowered (or just barely adequately powered) motor that assumes perfection in the roundness of the bubble it is rotating.

The design is simple and the parts well chosen. After a full year, no problems with the build quality and I’m pleased to see the choice of motor. Knit-picking aside, there really are no concerns here.

7. Safe for the cats. Even if your cat was inside when it started up (which has happened to me) I wouldn’t worry about it. There is nothing in there to hurt them.. mine just enjoyed walking the inside.

The string they have inside, under the bubble in the base unit, is for stopping the unit if someone sticks a paw down there and again, from practical experience I can tell you it works. Clever design.

8. $$$ Yeah, it’s expensive. But, come on, your thinking about buying an automated kitty litter box for gods sake. We are past reasonable here already.

The real question here isn’t is it expensive, that’s done man.. yes it’s expensive. The real question is is it worth it?

Yes, absolutely it is worth it. The company is smart offering the 90-day no-hassle return. My bet is they don’t get a large percentage of returns.

You’ll forget the money quickly but you’ll not soon forget the Litter Robot, it’ll be around in your home for years to come. Believe me, Its worth every penny.
