A True Investment!
Today I purchased my second Litter Robot. This is hands down the best automated litter box I have ever found. I love it and the cats love it. While it is expensive I look at it as a true investment. They get a clean box all the time and it is easy maintenance for me. Everyone is a winner with this box! Thank you so much!

Hi, I have 2 cats. As like everyone else my husband & I are always saying its your turn to clean the litter boxes! LOL. How often do you need to clean the inside of the globe if you can guess about how many times in a year would be good. What supplies would we need for this litter robot? I know the bags, but are there any filters? How many times a year do u need to change those? And are the expensive? And one more question, our power goes out a lot, can be a couple hours up to 5 days, what happens when people lose power for days? Opps! One more question LOL we have 2 cats, is 1 litter robot enough for 2 cats? What’s the most cats 1 robot can handle? Thanks so much. Sorry if I asked so much. I have looked at others like cat genie, reviews were horrible, but litter robot reviews are really good, it’s just so exspensive, I want to know for sure & hoping they are true to their word with 90 day gaurantee, so if I have it for months then notice my cats are peeing outside, they would take it back? Again, thank you for your time. Denise in MD. =^~^=

Hi Denise,
Thank you for your interest in the Litter-Robot. When it comes to cleaning the unit we recommend about once a month emptying the litter and replacing it with a fresh batch. A thorough cleaning should take place about every three months. To clean the Litter-Robot, please use a mild detergent. Try to avoid harsh cleaners such as bleach. The globe can be fully submerged in a bathtub or laundry tub – there are no electronic components in the globe which can be damaged. When the weather permits you can also use a garden hose outside and let the sun dry the globe after cleaning. The base, however, should not be submerged or sprayed as it houses all the electronic components. Please use a damp cloth or sponge to carefully wipe down the base.
As for supplies, you will need litter ( any scoopable or clumping clay based works fine) and drawer liners ( 10-13 gallon tall kitchen garbage bags work perfectly). There is a carbon filter in the front of the waste drawer. Truly, your nose will tell you when it is time for changing.
One Litter-Robot will work just fine for 2 cats. We recommend one unit for up to 3 cats.
If your power happens to go out for multiple days, we recommend maintaining the unit by manually scooping the globe.
We truly do honor the 90 day return policy. If for whatever reason the unit is not working out in your home you can return the unit within the first 90 days. Also, the units come with an 18 month warranty.
Denise, we hope this information has helped. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

HI! This sounds like a great product! I am wondering if I can use corn litter…that is what I prefer and so do my felines. Will I have to go back to clay if I buy this?
