We have two cats, and we used to use a Litter Maid. The Litter Maid was…. adequate at best. It required a fair amount of maintenance and very frequent emptying and cleaning (which was NOT pleasant!) The engineering and quality of the Litter Maid was marginal. The analogy is probably a bit tired, but I would liken the Litter Maid to a Volkswagen and the Litter Robot to a Mercedes. I can honestly say that after several months of use, I actually feel GOOD about the money I paid for this product every time I look at it. The person who designed this and implemented that design with clearly thoughtful attention to detail and great quality manufacturing deserves every penny of that purchase price and I hope he / she makes a long, happy, comfortable living, because with your ideas and hard work you have made my life just a little bit better.
