I have had a Litter Robot for a couple of years now. Prior to purchasing the unit, I had used those ‘maid’ raking type of box. I must say that the Robot is exceptional quality for the price. The other units usually lasted less than a year, and the newer version barely made it past the four week mark. It was at this point frustration set in and I found out about the Litter Robot and purchased my first unit. I have just purchased a second unit as an auxiliary for when we are away and more waste storage space is needed.

My old unit has been washed any number of times, including by hurricane Fay last year. The entire unit was soaked by being inadvertently left out on the outer deck during the storm. The litter compartment was filled with water, as was the base. I only had to empty the unit, dry it off and it was up and running without any problem within minutes.

Our three cats like the cleanliness of constantly refreshed litter and I think they even enjoy watching the unit cycle through it’s cleaning routine. I noticed Tytte, our youngest Mau, staring at our front load washing machine, probably wondering…”Hmmm, is this the new model we were promised!” Thanks Litter Robot, you have made it easy for us to keep our litter boxes outside, which is a blessing in Florida, where we do not have a basement.
