I got the the litter-robot when my cats were 5 months old, did not matter that they didn’t wear 5lbs, I just manually pushed the button once or twice a day.
Now they are 10 months old and can activate it themselves. This product is wonderful. I change the drawer once a week and sweep the floor once a week. Worth every penny with the dollars you save in liter.
