I too was a bit hesitant about buying a LR, but it was the best purchase ever! The 90 day money back guarantee was what convinced me to buy it and try it. I had tried other automatic litter boxes with little success, but this one not only works very well, you can tell that it was well thought out and engineered. It’s quiet! Later on, we also purchased a cabinet for it which makes for a nice table and hides the LR. I also recommend buying the LR2 Fence, which greatly reduced the amount of cat litter the cats carried out on their paws. Wait with installing it until the cats are used to using the LR. One of our cats is very timid, but he got it. Great product Litter Robot! 6 out of 5 stars!

After many “automatic” litter boxes that didn’t scoop right, clumped, or dumped clumps on the floor, I searched for something better. I was leary of the Robot at first, what with the price and the enormous size, but after the last scooper not working, I ordered it. I must admit, I was worried that my Himilayan wouldn’t take to it, but he did. Cold Turkey. Just put it in the same place as the old box, putting in a cup or two of litter from the old box on top. He didn’t use it for almost a day, and then he decided that it was the Robot or nothing, and he used it not once, but three times within the hour. Works like a charm and NO MORE poop or clumps. He did pee out the front, even with the extension, so I put in the fence since he was using it. Works like a charm. No more pee out the front. He now turns around and looks out while using it. What a product. I’ll never to back. I thank you, my cat thanks you. Now we can go away for a week and the cat sitter doesn’t have to worry about cleaning out the sticking rake or clumps. Just dump the drawer once. AWESOME.

We have 4 cats and have been using the litter robot for almost 3 months now. If you were on the fence like we were because of the initial cost, buy it. The quality is grade A and in 3 months we saved almost $75 in litter alone. The unit will pay for itself within a year. Can’t beat that.

Have a number of rescued cats (& 2 dogs). Bought Litter – Robot several yrs ago & cats love it. Only problem was litter splatter outside opening. Recently added lip extender/fence combo and that problem stopped. A great idea, no litter outside box now. Also added ramp, cats love that too. Recently began using Dr Elsey’s Senior Litter; makes world of difference. No clumps, BMs dry quickly and drop into collection drawer. Supposed to be less chance of bladder infections. Thinking of purchasing second unit soon.

Litter Robot has solved all of my problems. My allegy and my back problems.
I brought this in May 2009.
I have tried several different kinds of litter boxes and not very happy with any of them. I kept looking for the right litter box for my cat Blackie. I needed something that I didn’t have to bend over to long with my back problems to scoop for any length of time and the dust from the litter. I have been looking at LR for a long time. I kept reading the testimonials and looking the how it worked and I liked the way it worked the fact it didn’t have a rack to get clogged up. So I finally said this is it and I brought a reconditioned one. When I got it out of the box, I set it up and put it in the 2nd bath which is Blackie’s bathroom. I put it between toilet and sink, it just fit perfect there. I took the old litter box out right away and Blackie had no problem getting used to it at all. Shortly I had a problem with it and I read the manual and said sensor needed to be adjusted. I did that and no more problems. Then all sudden I get this red light blinking and I looked at to see what was going on and there was a pile litter out on the step. I figured Blackie decided he was going to go in and dig to litter out entance. He kept doing it few more time and I was getting tired of cleaning the mess. So I went online to find out how to take care of the problem, I found out I needed to get the Lip extender and fence combo. I order the lip extender and fence combo. There is no more litter on the step.
This is the best money you could ever buy that I wish I brought this a long time ago. I feel it will last me for a long time. I am not going through alot of litter either. I did find out by using Fresh Step Litter with carbon is great with LR, it does not have any odor at all.
Litter Robot has solved all of my problems. Blackie and I love our LR. We thank you and thank you.

Lip Extender and Fence Solves litter box problem – July 24, 2009

Thank you! for the lip extender and fence. We have three cats. The two older cats took to the robot almost immediately, however, our “kitten” (five years old) would not turn around and insisted on tossing the litter all over the floor. We tried fashioning something, however, she would always find a way to take it off. When we saw the new lip extender and fence we thought we should give it a try. Even though she still does not turn around, everything is funneled back into to robot and the litter outside the robot is now minimal instead of like a sandy beach.
