Do you think your cat has what it takes to be a calendar cat? We think your cat might just be the next cover model for the 2011 Litter-Robot Kitty Calendar! Share your pictures with us and we will announce the 12 winners by August 10, 2010!

The grand prize winner will earn the cover model space on the front of our calendar, and will also win a FREE Litter-Robot, along with a complimentary copy of the 2011 Litter-Robot Kitty Calendar. Earth Day was founded in 1970 by Gaylord Nelson (1916-2005), a U.S. Senator from Wisconsin. At the time (and of course, still today) there was growing concern about population growth and its effect on the environment and April 22^nd was chosen as the day to celebrate the Earth and the environment.

Here at Automated Pet Care Products, Inc., we build our products in Juneau, Wisconsin, USA (county seat of Dodge county). Building and buying locally helps to reduce carbon emissions from costly transportation from overseas – not to mention keeping jobs here in the USA. Using recycled materials and designing products for longevity and repair are also big steps toward reducing environmental impact.

To celebrate Earth Day we are giving away a FREE ECO Unit Litter-Robot^TM. Simply write a paragraph or two (by commenting on this article) on how you and your pet are trying to reduce environmental impact. Or, if you have any tips or advice on how to be more ‘green’ with your pet, that would be great too.

You know how there are certain rare purchases that you make, purchases that make you feel good every time you look at, or use that product you bought? This is one of those purchases!

We have two cats, and we used to use a Litter Maid. The Litter Maid was…. adequate at best. It required a fair amount of maintenance and very frequent emptying and cleaning (which was NOT pleasant!) The engineering and quality of the Litter Maid was marginal. The analogy is probably a bit tired, but I would liken the Litter Maid to a Volkswagen and the Litter Robot to a Mercedes. I can honestly say that after several months of use, I actually feel GOOD about the money I paid for this product every time I look at it. The person who designed this and implemented that design with clearly thoughtful attention to detail and great quality manufacturing deserves every penny of that purchase price and I hope he / she makes a long, happy, comfortable living, because with your ideas and hard work you have made my life just a little bit better.

I love the cat’s Litter-Robot.
My cats had no issues adapting. No nasty odours. I adore the fact that we can use any large bags for the tray and any brand of clumping litter. I have also purchased the lip extension and the gate and since then, no mess on the steps. Cheers for a terrific product.

We just got our Litter Robot today- WOW!!
One of our two cats watched me set it up.
Within an hour, there was “solid” evidence that it was in use! OK; it’s just our first day, but we love it already! Thanks!

No smell, no jams — just works

Have had Litter Robot for 2 years, and it works great. No smell, no jams — just works. I put the entire drawer in a kitchen trash bag and then slide into the robot. When time to empty just slide it out and turn the bag inside out as you remove it from the drawer. Nothing ever touches the drawer so it never gets dirty! Great product, well worth the $.

I’ve had my Litter Robot for 4 years, before experiencing any problems whatsoever. I e-mailed the customer service department this week and they quickly responded, searched for my order, and provided directions on how to resolve my problems AT NO COST. Amazing! $329 for 48 months = $6.80 a month. Considering what I saved on liner bags (since you can use grocery store bags) and litter (since you use much less), my Litter Robot paid for itself a long time ago!

I love this thing. I’ve used other brands for years but knew the minute I looked at the litter robot that it was well thought out and designed. When my old brand died my research showed that litter robot was the way to go. My cat jumped in before I could even finish filling it with litter.

The litter lasts longer

We have had our litter robot for over 2 years and it is still working as well as it did the first day. We have 3 cats, the curious one, the scaredy cat, and now the baby. All three of them use the litter robot with no problem. I will never go back to a regular litter box ever again! The litter lasts longer so the amount of money you save on litter easily covers the cost of the litter robot.
