so great that I am chucking out the malfunctioning LitterMaids
and replacing them with another Litter-Robot!
THANK

We broke down and spent the $350 for the Litter-Robot about
a month ago. My husband is a penny pinching CPA who
was REALLY guarded about such a purchase. But with
the 30 day money back guarantee, he said OK. I am
here to tell you, this unit has transformed our life. We
both LOVE IT!! and so do the cats. ;-)
We
travel part of every week, and our lives were getting to
be a real drag :( -- hauling huge cat litter
buckets, scooping nasty cat boxes at midnight on Friday nights
when we arrived back home from our 2-day business trips into
Dallas, and finding kitty poop on the bathroom throw rugs because
the cats said "I'm not going into those nasty cat boxes
one more time until they scoop them!"
And of course when you have 3 cats with kidney disease, scooping
is not an option after 2 days -- they drink so much water that
you have to dump the whole thing.
Now
we do not have any of those issues. With the new Litter-Robot,
they have stopped pooping on the bathroom throw rugs, since
their cat box is always clean and sanitary. We come
home to NO poop on the floor, and 3 happy cats. And
all I have to do is to change out the drawer and add a bit
more litter into the Litter-Robot.
My son visited from Dallas over Thanksgiving from Austin, and
he promptly sat down at my computer and ordered one for his
two cats. It was delivered yesterday. Very fast
service -- thank you, Lauren at Litter-Robot!
Some helpful hints for those whose cats have kidney disease
and drink LOTS of water, for use with the Litter-Robot:
1. I experimented with all of the hard clumping litters
that others have recommended, but have found only ONE that
works really great with multiple cats who are water guzzlers
(due to kidney disease), in our new Litter-Robot. That
is SCOOP AWAY MAXIMUM CLUMPING FOR MULTIPLE CATS. It is
a new formula and works great. With all of the others
I used, I was getting a drawer full of mud. And, given
the amount of urine they throw off, the other litters just
never formed hard enough clumps so that they dropped neatly
through the holes in the Litter-Robot during the cleaning cycle. So
I had 'mud' smeared here and there. But that does not
happen with the Scoop Away Maximum for Multiple Cats. Even
with my water guzzlers.
2. With my 3, huge eaters and drinkers (one cat is 15
pounds, one 14, and one 8), I find that I really need to empty
the drawer every other day without fail. And if I am
out of town for more than 36-40 hours then I have to use this
little trick: I DO NOT TRY TO SLIDE THE DRAWER OUT. It
is too full. So I just lift the globe off of the base,
set it aside, and then lift the entire plastic bag and its
contents straight up, through the open top (when the globe
is off the base). That way I do not have kitty poop scraping
out onto the drawer opening. This is a small concession
to make for all of this convenience. Takes me 2 minutes,
max, to "change the box".
3. One last little hint: I noticed that all my
cats like to enter the box, turn around facing the opening,
and do their business that way. Thus, most of the clumps
were exiting the box through the rear drop holes during
the cleaning cycle -- and the drawer got overloaded at the
back. That was a mess because nothing else could go through
after a while, even though the front of the drawer was empty. So
I fixed that: I put a book which is 1" thick under
the rear of the unit. That way there is a very slight
tilt forward, and gravity ensures that at least half of the
clumps exit through the front discharge port -- and we then
have an "evenly distributed" cat box. Works
like a charm!
Well, if you have not bought one of these marvelous machines,
do it now. You will not regret it. It is wonderful!!! Thanks
to Litter-Robot for making this wonderful gadget.
And
thanks, Lauren, for the good fast service in shipment.

The testimonials are true and the Litter-Robot is the
best solution out there for people who don't want to deal with
scooping litter boxes several times a day.
My wife and I recently adopted two kittens (14 week-old siblings)
and as soon as we brought them home we gently placed each in
the Litter-Robot filled with the World's Best Cat Litter. Both
ended up using the Litter-Robot on the first day, and have
always used it since... minus one accident that was really
our fault for not putting a litter box on the second floor
of our home. So now we have not one but two Litter-Robots,
and can devote time normally spent scooping and flushing instead
on enjoying the kittens.
The Litter-Robot is very well designed and has not once failed
to do its job. Of course it is not quite as odor-free
as simply flushing the waste down the toilet, but especially
if combined with a charcoal air cleaner and some simple modifications
(I attached a thin ring of felt floor protector strips to the
base to seal the gap between the waste drawer and the room)
it is nearly perfect.
On top of the quality of the product, Lauren and the company's
employees have been very helpful and responsive, even offering
to go beyond the call of duty to address a problem caused by
the shipper. Highly recommended!

I can't believe I won such a kewl item!!!!
Good Morning!
Can
I just say your product is beyond fantastic! Here is my story.
I was listening to Animal Talk one day and was fortunate enough
to win your product. At that time I was in turmoil
because I co-parent a Maine Coon which someone had abandoned
on top of my car, kitty carrier and all. I'm pretty
dedicated to him and I don't mind telling you that it has
been an uphill battle with litter boxes. None of
them were large enough for him. (The vet says he's the
longest cat he has ever seen) Anyway, I knew his little
mistakes were not entirely his fault and that he just wanted
to have a box he felt comfortable in. I was actually contemplating
finding another home for him because I thought he would
be happier. Anyway when I won your product I thought I
would give it one more try. Am I ever so glad I did!
The transition was a bit painful in that he thought it was
something that was going to attack him. Then he couldn't
get the hang of stepping on the little step. So we built
a little platform for him and finally lured him in with
a bit of catnip. This took about a week. The first time
he used it my partner and I celebrated with a glass of
champagne and our spoiled kitty received all sorts of kitty
treats.
Now he couldn't be happier! Well, I should say WE couldn't
be happier. We use the pearl type litter and find that
it actually works BETTER in the Litter-Robot. You
guys are well on your way to putting other litter box manufacturers
out of business.
WE LOVE OUR LITTER-ROBOT!!!!!
Sincerely,
Vitoria Rae

If you ever had a doubt about “Litter-Robot”, my
story should support why you should give it a try.
I've had two kittens for several months now. They are brother
(Charlie) and sister (Angelica). Charlie has always been
a normal cat. On the other hand, Angelica has been full
of surprises from the first day. Lately, Angelica has
become a rebel without a cause.
I have tried several sizes of litter boxes and different unconventional
techniques, but to no avail. I seriously considered hiring
the pet psychic to tell me what it was wrong with her. I
was almost ready to return her to her original adopting mom,
but I felt it was my obligation as a pet lover to give her a
second try (really, a thousand and one try). That is when I decided
to surf through the website and found this amazing miracle.
Within four days I had it. I opened the box and before
I knew it, Charlie and Angelica were making a line to try a new
adventure. First, I left their original litter box on the
other side of the room. There was no need to disguise the
product or use a scoop of their old litter. As children
in an amusement park, they took turns right after the other. First,
it was Charlie. By the time I set up the Litter Box, Charlie
went inside and began scratching the litter and did his duty. As
soon as he stepped out, his sister, Angelica, went in without
any hesitation. That is when my son and I began praying. You
see, Angelica used to poop outside the litter box and/or by the
border AND ON THE FLOOR. We saw her piercing yellow eyes looked
at us with a contentment look. She stepped out and when
the “Litter-Robot” began its cycle, they both stood
in front of it and looked and wonder why this was not presented
to them from the beginning.
Today has been day three and I can tell you for a fact that I
am still wondering the secret. All I know is that I opened
the drawer, tied up the bag and re-started the cycle effortlessly.
I sincerely can tell you that I do not know what the future might
uphold, but right now Angelica is the happiest kitten in the
universe!

Howdy,
Shoot! I meant to email y'all right away. We
got the Litter-Robot a week ago today, a day before it was estimated
to arrive (thanks for using FedEx). Our cat was using it
within 5 minutes of setting the thing into operation. The
cat is happy, my daughter (responsible for the litter box) is
happy, the house is back to normal odor-wise so I'm happy.
The thing works great and even entertains the cat when it goes
into its cycle.
Great job.

I've been using my Litter-Robot for a few weeks now and I just
wanted to write and tell you it's the best thing since sliced
bread!
I've gone through 3 LitterMaids in the past 4 - 5 years with
a single cat. I was constantly cleaning the muddy rake
and clearing jams. It was slightly better then a box with
litter in it.
This one is fantastic, especially with Worlds Greatest Cat Litter. I'm
very happy.
Thanks for developing such a great product!!

Not to be too over-dramatic, but the Litter-Robot is one of the
best machines ever invented! It is WONDERFUL!
I empty the bag from the tray twice a week, and that's it. I've
only had to add a little litter twice - other than that, everything
is on automatic. I was worried about ordering such an expensive
litter box...given the cat may not even use it. But
Sasha (the devil kitty) was sitting in the globe as I was unpacking
everything.
She began using it immediately, and we haven't had any problems. She
knows it is hers...any time I show it to someone, she has the "That's
mine...why are you bothering it?" look. I vacuum the
small amount of litter that she tracks out on her paws, but that's
nothing compared to scooping every day!
From inspecting the unit, I can tell a lot of thinking & quality
design went into the product. I have been & will continue
to recommend the Litter-Robot to my friends.
Thanks,

We have had our Litter-Robot for about a year, works as good
as you say !!!!! We have 4 Persians and it is awesome not
having to scoop a box daily.
It is a great product and worth the money. I would recommend
this to anyone with cats. We also use WBCL with it,
a good combination !!!!!!!!!!

I received that Litter-Robot and only have a four letter word
for it!
"Fabulous"!
Lauren, thank you for representing a company that provides a
product that REALLY works!.. I purchased a reconditioned product
from you and it was virtually brand new!.... You
certainly should be proud of the product that you represent,
as much as I am proud and thankful that I own one!
No more disgusting ammonia fumes wafting through the house
any longer. No more sifting for unknown "jewels amongst
the sands" any more. No more having to keep track
of the time since the last unnerving and distasteful jaunt
turning over the "garden plot" and needlessly wasting
unsoiled litter in my haste to get the job over-with quickly!
That unit of yours does it all, and faithfully at that!..... I
accepted the 1/4 inch mesh with uncertainty, but it is just
perfect! Further, I didn't have a bit of a problem with
my two Persians accepting their new box...they just sit and watch
it do its thing, after they do theirs, and I, myself, am so appreciative that I
do not have to attend to such a necessary, but miserable,
task any longer!.....
Thanks for all your great service on the telephone with
me in making the Litter-Robot such a "fabulous" addition
to my many home appliances for convenience. It truly
is that!.....

What can I say about a machine that has virtually given us freedom
from the daily routine of cleaning the litter box not to mention
all the litter that gets thrown out by the cats?
The L/R has relieved us from these mundane tasks. I can’t
tell people enough about your product and how it has given us
the freedom from those tasks.
People that don’t take advantage of this product are missing
out. It is simply marvelous how it works and saves us money
not to mention saving on the back. We really didn’t
think too much about the price, we were told of the product by
a co-worker and didn’t hesitate ordering one and I wouldn’t
hesitate ordering another one if the need arose.
We needed repairs on our base and Brad was great working with
us on the situation. The service we received was exceptional.
Thanks Litter-Robot

Well, our cats (6 of 7 - the 7th has always preferred
the outdoors) have been using the Litter-Robot for five
days now. They used it right off the bat and were fascinated
when the globe started to turn.
I remove the waste every two days and I'm so happy not to have
to be scooping three to four times a day because one of the cats
is very particular about the housekeeping and will go outside
the box if it's not up to his specs.
I think you should get an award for inventing/making something
that is truly useful and does exactly what it's supposed to do.
Thanks - you've made my life easier and a lot less stressed!

Unbelievable!! After a week with the L/R, I can't believe how
well it works.
Our three cats...Stormy (male kitten), Noodles (14 year old arthritic
female) and Lucy (16lb.plus diabetic old lady) had no trouble
acclimating to the Litter-Robot. I left it unplugged along side
the old litter box, filled it with Everclean, threw a scoopful
of the "used" litter in it and waited. The kitten
used it right away, and the old ladies started using it after
I let their old box fill up a bit.
As a techno-nut I can't say enough on how well the L/R operates.
I originally had some qualms about the L/R being able to accommodate
Lucy's size (she's fat) and the size of the clumps she leaves
behind, but the machine handled it with no problem, (our Litter-*aid
use to stall and make a bigger mess of them).
The L/R does an excellent job of straining the litter and dumping
just the clumps into the lined draw, I haven't added litter to
it since I've gotten it, and believe that I'll be able to go
at least 4 or 5 days between emptying the draw, ( I usually
spend 10-15 minutes a night scooping out the clumps).
BTW, the sealed draw does an excellent job containing odors.
The only problem I had was with Noodles, her arthritis gave her
a little trouble climbing in and out of the box, but I solved
that with a piece of rolled up carpeting that I placed just in
front and under the L 'Robot's opening's ledge.
All in all.............A GREAT PRODUCT!.... It rates up there
with my Roomba, a little expensive but worth the money, you'll
make it up in litter saved. I think the only people who'll
love the Litter-Robot more than us will be our neighbors who
occasionally baby-sit our cats.
We thank you...our cats thank you, and our neighbors thank you.

Dear Litter-Robot,
I want to say that this is the most wonderful product that I
have ever tried in the realm of litter boxes! It
works like a dream. There is no fuss and no smell!
My cats are "kickers" and they always seem to kick
it out of the entry port. However, if this is all that I have
to clean up it is a small price to pay.
Even though it is a bit pricy, I have spent at least that much
over the years trying all of the other litter box designs. If
you try this one you won't be sorry.
I have three cats and the older two went for it right away. The
third one took a bit longer. Since she is the one that must
have a clean box it has really made a difference!
Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you!

We received our Litter-Robot and set up the Litter-Robot a week
ago. Even though it says not to plug it in at first we did. (Didn't
exactly read all the instructions)
Well it is a huge hit! All 3 cats (ages 11, 9, and almost
1) love it.
I knew our youngest and newest kitty would be the first to use
it. I wish we had a video of the first time it cycled. She
stood in the room on her back legs and stared at it. She
then figured out HOW to make it cycle. So the first day
it cycled a couple times every hour. The other two cats
sat and watched Sadie set it off. The third day Sadie sat in
the globe and waited for it to spin!! (Of course it didn't and
we had to coax her out.)
I can't begin to say how great it is not to have to clean a cat
box everyday!! The savings on litter is already evident after
just one week. Normally we would have gone through a 28lb box
already. We haven't used 1/2 of the box yet!
The biggest benefit of all is No More Smell... the litter box
had always smelled bad no matter what. My parents
came over and the first thing my dad said was "The house
doesn't smell bad anymore." No matter what we did it always
smelled like cat box in our home. NO MORE! Thank
you so much for this awesome cat box!

After two years of scooping and almost a year of putting up with a
LitterMaid Mega, I decided to look for a better answer. A
web search led me to the Litter-Robot. I ordered one and
after sixty days, I have to say it is a great design and works
exactly as advertised.
No more scooping litter boxes; no more scraping the bottom of
the LitterMaid, dislodging stuck litter clumps and dealing with
disposal tray tops that won't stay on. I just empty
the drawer every couple of days and that's it. I'm using
it with "the World's Greatest Cat Litter" (which is
the best I've tried) and there is no doubt it has significantly
reduced the amount of this expensive litter that I use. The
cat's love it too. I just set it beside their existing
box and they started using it the second day.
I was a little put off by the price at first, but it is worth
every penny. Thanks for such a great product. Your
service was great too.

Awesome!
I have been on a mission to find a automated cat box now for
a full year. I started out with the LitterMaid Mega
and it was okay, however it kept getting jammed at all sorts
of inconvenient times and finally, the motor gave out after 2
months. I then decided to try the LitterFree product. It
worked well, however one of my cats started to pee on my bed! I
finally figured out that their just want enough litter for him
in the LitterFree. So, I took back that product (not
a day to soon--they went out of business the following week). At
this point, I was a beaten down and decided just to use a traditional
litter box. While his had the benefit of my cats
always using the litter box (and not my bed) I was now faced
with the prospect of daily cleaning and sweeping the mess around
the box.
After a few months of this, I came across Litter-Robot. I
was skeptical but desperate! I ordered one. It
came, and has been everything I hoped it would be!
My cats took to it right away and I have had zero problems. I
use crystals and it allows me to change the litter pan every
two weeks instead of one with clumping litter. I
couldn't be more satisfied! If you sitting on the fence
trying to decide to purchase, jump off now and buy it!
Sincerely,

Hi, I wanted to write and let someone know how great I think
this is!
I have tried every automatic cat box out there and this one is
the best.
The LitterMaid was a nightmare! It was constantly getting
stuck- especially at 3 in the morning! You would hear the
super loud rake going back and forth and then finally stopping
and the alarm going off on it. Which meant you had
to either get up and unclog it or try to sleep threw the alarm
beeping constantly!
The next box we tried was the LitterFree. That did not last long
either. It is more loud than the first and while it does an o.k.
cleaning job it stunk up the entire house during the cleaning
cycle! Plus it has NO sensor so it WILL go off while the
cat is in there. That is what happened to us. Our
one cat got stuck in there (he has a big belly) while it
was going off and he never would go in it again - he used the
carpet - which resulted in one of the others going on the floor
too! No matter what we tried they would NOT go near the
thing. We are actually in the process now of replacing our carpet! Thanks
LitterFree!
Anyway getting back to the Litter-Robot... This thing like I
said is Great - I love it!
It cleans good, nothing gets clogged or stuck, It does
not stink up house, Is not loud, and cats don't have to be scared
to get stuck in the thing while it starts up. I have 4 cats and
they all use it no problem and even the biggest (17lbs) can get
in it and out easily. I actually just ordered a 2nd one
today with the kick 'n kitty guards and also some kick 'n kitty
guards for my first box.
Thanks for inventing a box that actually works and does what
it says it will do. You have made my life so much easier! I
would recommend this box to anyone.....

Subject: Another skeptic converted!
What can I say? I am yet another multiple cat owner who has tried
almost everything on the market. I, too, tried the LitterMaid
and found it sadly lacking. Not only did the unit not work well
when it worked at all, it stopped working completely all too
soon. The mere fact that all the mechanical parts
are open to the litter should have been clue enough that this
device was doomed to failure.
I found myself with five cats who had inappropriate bathroom
habits, six litter boxes scattered throughout the house, a dog
who loves raiding those litter boxes, litter virtually everywhere,
an unhappy husband, and a very stressed out life! I have sinus
problems and virtually no sense of smell, so the litter box odor
has never been a problem for me, but my family and friends were
always around to remind me that my home, indeed, had a problem.
Needless to say, getting rid of the cats was an option I couldn't
bear (as was getting rid of the husband!) so I began looking
for alternatives to my situation. My husband had begun talking
of building an enclosed unit for the litter boxes which he would
ventilate to the outside. I decided to hit the Internet
to see if possibly something already existed. I looked
at lots of cat furniture and litter box "houses" and
realized none of these would solve my problem. Most of
these units still housed at most two boxes, so I would have been
forever cleaning them just to get the cats to be willing to use
them.
I stumbled onto the Litter-Robot site quite by accident and became
intrigued by what seemed to be a superior design (by the way,
I absolutely cannot believe the LitterMaid is still in existence!) I,
too, balked at the price, but figured at worst I would be out
the shipping. Besides, I was desperate! I
ordered my Litter-Robot and anxiously awaited its arrival.
Well, I know now that all these testimonials are true. It
really does work like a dream.
I was very nervous about which way to approach getting my cats
to use it. I finally ended up removing all the other boxes
and sort of forcing their choice. As long as the
other boxes were around, they weren't too interested in trying
it. Once I got rid of the old ones, however, they used it without
a problem. I have only one exception. My fifteen
pound cat, Samson, is very nervous (men are such wimps!) and
he is the lone holdout. Yes, I've actually been videotaping
the use of the Litter-Robot so I can prove who's innocent and
who's guilty! Samson will go into the Litter-Robot if I put tuna
in there for him, but he escapes as quickly as he can and I'm
not quite sure what to do about it. Fortunately, he has
mostly been going outside in the dog pen, but he has been forced
to use other inappropriate places when the porch door has been
closed and he's unable to get to the pen. I have not given
up on him, and even with my one stubborn kitty, I still LOVE
my Litter-Robot.
I simply empty the drawer once a day and go about my business! I
think it is a MUST for any multiple cat household. I have been
telling everyone I know about it including my veterinarian! It
is definitely worth every penny, but I wouldn't cry if they found
some way to reduce the cost!
I had such a mess with my other litter boxes. The Litter-Robot
has eliminated all of that. I keep a little whisk broom next
to it and simply sweep up the plastic mat in front of it when
I empty the drawer. Odor has not been an issue, and my
husband can finally enjoy the cats along with me. Sophie,
Minx, Marshall, and Hallie all put their paw-print of approval
on this great invention, as does my entire household!

Add my name to the list of satisfied customers.
When I read about the Litter-Robot, I thought it sounded great,
but I'm always a little skeptical. Well, I received the
Litter-Robot a week ago, and I am so happy and relieved because
I LOVE IT!!
My cat, Daisy, used it right away. I have not kept in plugged
in yet but I will soon. For now I plug it in after she
has used it and then unplug it. I don't want anything to
scare her away from this marvelous invention.
Because of this great product, we are adding an addition to our
household, a little boy kitten to play with Daisy. I never
would have considered two cats with a regular litter box because
of the smell. It's bad enough with one. But, now
I can see it will be no problem.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

Subject: Hands Down the BEST LITTER BOX around!
I am going to start this letter by saying that if anyone is weighing
the pros and cons of ordering the Litter-Robot...Order it, I
guarantee this will be the best purchase you will make for your
cat.
My household consist of myself, my husband, my five year old
son, and our three cats (Kitty-Kat is the oldest being six years
old, then comes Odie who is 3 years old, last but not least is
Demon who is a year old). Needless to say I am constantly
on the go and the last thing I need to worry about is the Litter
Box.
Six years ago when we only had Kitty-Kat we purchased the LitterMaid
Deluxe. I only had to empty the LitterMaid container weekly,
although I had to every so often clean the rake because it would
get clogged with litter and waste. This LitterMaid worked
fine until we got Odie our 2nd cat, all of a sudden I was having
to empty the LitterMaid container every 3 days and the rake seemed
to really clog up, so we upgraded to the LitterMaid Mega model
it is made for homes with multiple cats. The Mega unit worked
the same as the smaller unit, still had to empty litter container
every 3 days and clean rake often, plus LOTS of litter outside
of box, tracking and when the LitterMaid cycles litter falls
between container. When we added Demon 3rd cat to our household
last year, I found my self having to empty the LitterMaid container
EVERY Day, the rake needed to be brushed clean every couple days
and with three cats the litter would piled to one corner or another
therefore jamming the LitterMaid, and then having to manually
distribute the litter and reset the LitterMaid. I was spending
more time and energy on the Litter box than I had ever dreamed.
I decided to see what my options where, I had heard about the
LitterFree Self Flushing Litter Box. I went to my local
PETsMART checked it out and debated for a few weeks on whether
it was would do as stated. "No more litter to have
to dispose of and a system that would self wash itself" well
it was priced at $300.00 (a bit pricey) and would require a cleaning
solution cartridge that would have to be replaced monthly at
a cost of $16.95 and the Litter Granules once every Six months
at a cost of $24.95. Well, I debated and decided
it was worth the money if it freed me from Litter duty! I
was so excited I could not wait to bring it home. Well,
I ran out and purchased one and brought it home and set it up.
The cats were a bit resistance in using it, it took them a few
days, finally Kitty-Kat and Odie (the two older cats) finally
gave in and used it with quite frankly lots of hesitation, they
would use it as quickly as they could and did not cover their
waste, therefore causing lots of odor. Demon on the
other hand (the youngest cat) decided to eliminate in our entry
hall, so I had to watch him and when I would see him pace back
and forth I would go and lock him in the laundry room until he
used the box.
I was losing sleep trying to watch and listen for the cats to
make sure they used the box. Now I have to say the
LitterFree does do what it says, it washes the granules and empties
the cat poop into your sewer system. What the manufacturer
does not tell you is that the ODOR that comes from the box when
it is running a cycle is unbelievable. Basically
the LitterFree is making poop soup, it adds water and agitates
it for three cycles then on the lasts cycle it empties all the
water and waste, then air dries the granules with a heated blow
dry cycle for 15 minutes it blows air and it STINKS UP YOUR ENTIRE
HOME. The one thing I prided my self in was the fact that people,
and friends did not know we had cats in our home, because there
was never a litter box odor.
The first week I had the LitterFree I had several friend comment
on the odor and could not believe how foul it was. The odor seem
to be very strong when a cycle would run, and it would dissipate
after about 2 hours, but still left a trace of litter box odor. I
had been so excited to get this unit, but I was now losing sleep
over trying to watch the cats, and I could not tolerate the smell. I
HATED IT and only after a few days! (Incidentally I believe the
manufacture is out of business, every telephone number for them
is disconnected with no new number, although their web site is
still up, you cannot get a hold of anyone or order refill cartridges.)
I decided to go back to the LitterMaid Mega, but I had given
my old unit to a neighbor, so I went online to check pricing
for a new unit. I was hoping I would be able to find the LitterMaid
Mega for less than $189.00, which seem to be the going price. While
I was searching prices I can across the Litter-Robot, I read
about it, there website seem to answer most of my questions and
the way it worked seem to make sense.
Although, I contemplated once again about spending $369.00 for
a Litter Box. I decided to call Litter-Robot, I was helped by
Lauren Ford in Customer Service. Lauren answered all my questions,
and took the time to explain the unit to me and ultimately she
sold me on the unit. I figured it had a 30 day money
back guarantee, so I had nothing to lose other than the shipping
charges. Lauren was very pleasant and so helpful in helping
me decide unit color, screen choice explaining the differences
in litter to use and whether I needed kick n kitty guards. (Editor's
note: In our continuing effort to improve the product, Litter-Robots
are now shipping with a Universal Screen that works well with
different kinds of litter. It is no longer necessary to select
a screen type. In addition, Kitty Guards are now standard
equipment.) Lauren is a definite asset in their
customer service department. I ordered it and had the unit
in 1 week.
I wish I would have know about the Litter-Robot a few years ago. From
the moment it arrived and we set it up (took about 5-minutes)
the cats were curious. They watched and when we were done setting
it up and plugged it in the Litter-Robot cycled, the cycle noise
is not loud, especially compared to the LitterFree (which you
could hear through the entire house). It is about 75% quieter
than the LitterMaid. Within an hour or two all three cats
had used the Litter-Robot without any hesitation, as a matter
of fact Demon the youngest cat keeps running in to watch it cycle,
he puts his head in the unit ever so slightly while it cycles, I
think he like to watch the Litter roll around! There
is no odor and nothing seems to be sticking or collecting inside
the unit (like the rake on the LitterMaid).
I am using Swheat Scoop litter and it is working Great the cats
love it and it works well with The Litter-Robot, and the tracking
is hardly nothing. I only have to empty the litter Litter-Robot
container every 3 days and I don't have to touch the container
because it uses plastic garbage bags. I am not using as much
litter compared to the LitterMaid.
The Litter-Robot is Fantastic. If Litter-Robot ever did
television commercials or went into retails stores (like PETsMART
or PETCO) anyone that has a cat or cats would purchase one. It
is worth every bit of its price, I can actually say this is the
FIRST LITTER BOX that seems to work without problems and the
hassle of cleaning it.
Hands down this is the BEST LITTER BOX available.
Sincerely,
Liz Spiletic

THANK YOU
I know ... don't shout. But who can help it with such a
wonderful appliance as the Litter-Robot working 24/7 to
keep my home and my cat-kids' facility clean and all
of us happy. I want to shout it to the roof-tops.
I received the 'Litter-Robot one week ago ... and what a difference
a week makes. I'm telling everyone I know that has (or
might have) cats in their home about the Litter-Robot. I
adore cats. I detest litter boxes - and I had three
(yes, three) of them. Being owned by two near-hairless
cats (a sphynx and a cornish rex), plus knowing the wisdom of
keeping the "kids" indoors always, I had to "dip" the
mess on a daily basis. When I want to go away overnight
it is no problem. If I want a 3- to 4-day hiatus it
just won't happen without begging dear friends or family to come
in and "dip" while I'm gone. YUCK. Someone's
really gotta love you to agree to this. Now I can go away with
peace of mind and only need someone to come in every
few days just to check on things and visit with my cats
in my absence.
I accidentally happened upon your website while researching automatic
self-cleaning litter boxes. What a lucky day that was. My intentions
were to research the LitterMaid product. After reading the reviews
praising the Litter-Robot (and complaining bitterly about the
LitterMaid) I ordered my Litter-Robot that same day.
I received the Litter-Robot a short time later and
couldn't wait to get it up and running. I was really nervous
that first evening after discovering that one of the cats
had used the "turf" rug in front of the Litter-Robot
instead of using the Litter-Robot! "Well," I thought, "they
guarantee a full refund if dissatisfied in the first 30 days!" Boy,
was I anxious. Hallelujah! The next day I noticed that BOTH cats
were using the Litter-Robot. WHEW...what a relief.
My "kids" can't talk to me (not in "people" language)
but I'm pretty sure that if they could, they'd be saying, "Thanks,
mom." Cats are fastidious by nature and I'm
sure their new Litter-Robot suits them perfectly. I know
it does me. Even my big boy, Zigzag, who is 16.5 pounds, has
no trouble getting into and using the litter dome.
And I say again, THANK YOU.

Subject: Free at last, free at last...!!!
Being a gadget guy who always dreaded cat box duty (no pun intended),
I have always sought a better solution for me and my 17-year
old cat, Fidget. Two years ago, I thought I found it with the
LitterMaid Mega. It was better than the manual method,
but the rake kept getting clogged and that resulted in either
the whole mechanism jamming, or lots of clean cat litter being
dumped into the receptacle with the clumps. I love the World's
Best Cat Litter, but that LitterMaid was going through a 17-pound
of WBCL every 2 weeks, which equates to about $50 per month!!
I thought other litters would work better, but after trying all
of them, they didn't fair any better.
I got online to research possible solutions, and came upon the
NBC rave review. After reading it and the other testimonials,
and studying the website, I was sold on the product. Yes,
it costs more than $300, but if it reduces my WBCL expense by
half, the unit will "litter-ally" (pun intended!) pay
for itself in just over a year. And I figured the savings in
headaches associated with emptying LitterMaid receptacles and
cleaning that #$@*&%! rake would be just icing on the cake.
So, I took the plunge and bought one.
Well, after waiting about 2 weeks or so, the unit arrived 7 days
ago via FedEx. I'm happy to say that it appears I have finally
found the Holy Grail of cat boxes!! No more "Revenge of
the Turds" for me!! I can see that none of the good litter
is wasted and the Litter-Robot is performing just as advertised.
My only suggestion is the Instruction Manual could be rewritten
and improved upon to better explain things. But, I am really
happy with this purchase, as is Fidget, and I am sure you will
be too.

:
Dear Litter-Robot folk,
My lovely cat Callie and I jumped on the chance to try the
LitterMaid when it came out. Less work for me, and, more importantly,
litter removal the way all cats secretly like it- after each
use! But after a week, we found:
a) litter usually accumulates unevenly in the disposal tray,
keeping the lid from closing
b) the motor driving the push/pull cycle of the rake was just
not strong enough.
We would hear the LitterMaid go off in the middle of the night,
hear the motor straining just to make it across the box. But
when it got to the end and the rake had the added duty of lifting
the waste up before dumping it, well... it just couldn't make
it. So I would have to get up and rearrange things
by hand and reset the chains because if I left it as it was
with the waste lid up, I would have to listen to the fastidious
cat trying to cover it all night long.
So we were eager for a "better littertrap" to appear,
and it did, in the form of Litter-Robot-Litter. It took
the self-cleaning litter box idea- simplified the mechanics
and ingeniously changed the design. Callie and I agreed on
what makes it better:
a) Gravity in an (almost) enclosed globe it what powers waste
removal. (Gravity has no working parts to break and it ALWAYS
works. Gravity is GOOD.)
b) the motor only has to do one simple thing, turn the globe
that rests on the base. No unusual/undue strain on the motor.
But, by far, this last feature is what sold me/my cat, because
it is so completely natural and logical. A very creative globe
shape allows the cat to dig/cover in a depression that has
depth and give to it. It approximates what a cat would
do naturally outside. We've always hated the flat litter pans,
but before litter Litter-Robot I never knew why: it is very
frustrating and almost impossible for a cat to bury waste on
a flat surface. The cat tries forever and is never really
truly satisfied with the result.
With Litter-Robot, Callie goes, and covers it with a couple
of paw swipes.
There is no endless scrape. scrape. scrape. scrape. scrape.
scrape.

I just received the Litter-Robot yesterday and it's great.
My three cats are fascinated by the clean cycle. As soon
as they hear it go on, they run to the bathroom and watch in
awe. They had no problem switching over at all.
The best thing of all is it really works! It took a while for
me to decide to order one because of the price, but now that
I see it I can understand the cost. It's build like a tank. We
ordered another one last night for our other house.
Thanks for an awesome product.

20, 2003:
I purchased the Litter-Robot (on) February 28, 2002. It
was the best investment I made for my three cats: black +
white American short hair, Grace, British short hair, cream
color, Fluffy and a British short hair blue cream color,
Peaches.
They immediately started using the Litter-Robot the minute
I set it up and I didn't even use any litter from the old
box they were using - they adapted well. I went through
2 LitterMaid units before the Litter-Robot. They don't
have parts to repair or replace them. You have to purchase
a new one.
When I received my Litter-Robot the adapter plug was broken;
I called Customer Service and the service was outstanding
and replacement almost immediate. The people at Automated
Pet Care Products, Inc. are the most courteous business people
I have met.
Thank you for inventing the Litter-Robot; it is a blessing
to my cats and I.

I set my 'Litter-Robot up on Monday evening and it works
like a charm!
My cat, "The Dude", took right to it no problem.
He always needs to run back into the room to see it in action
when the motor starts up! One of my co-workers (I had
the 'Litter-Robot shipped to my office address) may be placing
an order with you shortly based on my experience!

3, 2002:
Hi Folks!
I have an early unit, Serial #49, to be exact, and I am very
pleased with the unit... and so is Tiger! After all this
time, I find that occasionally he doesn't bother with the cover-up
routine. Does he know it's going to be done for him??
The addition of the side 'wings' made a good product even better.
I would think you should make that an integral part of the
product, especially after the coverage you received on the "Today
Show" this morning!!! Hope you get a lot of orders as
a result!
Please note that in the attached photo, I have placed a artificial
grass doormat that Tiger HAS to step on when departing. The
plastic bristles remove any clinging granules from his feet,
so the granules don't end up on the living room carpet. I think
you should mention this in your advertising.
Best of luck to y'all, and feel free to give my phone number
to interested parties.

September 7,
2002:
We have owned the litter-robot for over a month now and this
is the best appliance we have bought yet!
We owned a LitterMaid years ago and ended up throwing it out
less than 30 days after we bought it - the smell, the clogged
rakes etc. To make matters worse, our cat (at that time) began
peeing on our carpets and after several months of cleaning
our carpets both of us were fed up. Unfortunately, our cat
died last summer and although we loved her we vowed never to
go through the experience again.
Then one day, while surfing the internet, I came upon the litter-robot
- we had missed having a cat around but I could not bring myself
to go though the nightmare of finding a wet (or worse yet)
mess on our carpets again. But, after looking closely into
your website and reading the other testimonials, we were sold.
We went out with our with our 5 year-old son to pick out a
kitten for him and after finding just the right one, we ordered
the litter-robot the following day. Since he was a kitten,
we began by only running it after he went, and that worked
out great. Now that he's five pounds, we leave it on
all the time and it works like a champ. I'm amazed at
how little litter we use!!
Thank you so much for developing the litter-robot, it allowed
us bring a cat back into our family!!

6, 2002:
I received my Litter-Robot 3 days ago and am thrilled with
it!
I have 3 cats and just moved with them to a new apartment,
along with a new fiance with a dog. Needless to say,
a big adjustment for them. One cat is also very very
skittish and had developed an aversion to using her litter
box for the past year. She had been eliminating on the
bed and would not use the box if there was any trace of any
waste in it. I had three litter boxes, one being the
LitterMaid, to try to fix this problem. Well, the LitterMaid
was a huge disappointment, left wet messes and smells, and
didn't work the way it was advertised to work. It broke after
3 months, no love lost on my part.
When planning this move to a smaller apartment I knew that
I would not be able to fit more than one litter box there,
and did some research on alternatives when I came upon your
website. I hesitated at first, worried that it would be another
disappointment and the cost, but decided I would take a chance.
When it came and I took it out of the box the first thing I
noticed was the quality of the materials. It is not at all
flimsy or cheaply made, it is truly quality stuff. It
also comes set up right out of the box, another plus.
I crossed my fingers waiting for the cats to react. Two of
the cats were curious right away and used it from day one. My
skittish one with the problem wouldn't go near it at first. I
sprayed the base of the Litter-Robot with a product called
Feliway, which is behavior modification spray for cats, made
up of synthetic pheromones. Basically it marks
the area sprayed as a "friendly zone", attractive to the cat. Well,
it worked right away, and in she went and has been using it
since. So far, no accidents and a very happy animal
and people family thanks to Litter-Robot!
Thanks so much for a great product that does all it says it
will. It is worth every penny!

August 14,
2002:
I just received my Litter-Robot 2 weeks ago for my 3 cats Sassy
Milo and Calvin. I love it.
I was hesitant to pay this much $$$ for a litter box but it
has been worth every penny. Milo and Calvin went
in in right away. Sassy was very hesitant at first but
the trick is to keep it unplugged for about a week until they
feel comfortable going in it and then plug it up. Sassy
uses it now without hesitation and I could not be more please
with this product. It does everything the website said it would.
Emptying the drawer is a snap and so much more pleasant than
manually cleaning the other box we had. I had not heard
good things about the LitterMaid box so I have never used it
but this is definitely the way to go --whether you have one
cat or 3. I have recommended this to all my cat
loving friends .

The Litter-Robot really is as wonderful as it looks.
This isn't like the "typical" television or Internet product
that claims to do something and then fails miserably when you
get it in your home.
I use The World's Best Cat Litter in my Litter-Robot and it's
worked perfectly since day one. When my mother
visits (she is allergic to my 3 cats), I put the cats and the
Litter-Robot in my room and it doesn't wake me up during the
night (unlike the LitterMaid that I could hear even though
it was way down the hall). The cleanup is a breeze and
I don't feel gypped about constantly paying for the plastic
containers (like with the LitterMaid) because I can use plastic
grocery bags in my Litter-Robot.
Thanks for this wonderful invention for felines and their people!!

I wanted to let you know how pleased we are with our new Litter-Robot. It
arrived two weeks ago, and our house may never be the same (thank
goodness).
The setup was easy and the directions had lots of helpful suggestions.
We have two cats, a male and a female. The male has always been
very receptive to new ideas, and curious about any new thing
brought into our home. He was the first "in." He is a fairly
large cat (15 pounds), but he's had no difficulty at all with
the Litter-Robot. He usually gets in and then pokes
his head out the hole while he finishes his business. Our
female cat was a little more skittish. She absolutely refused
to be "placed" in the box (and the directions understandably
say not to "force" the cat into the box). We decided to just
put the Litter-Robot exactly where the old cat box had been and
wait to see what would happen. We have yet to actually "see" our
female cat in the box, but we know she's using it because there's
no other box in the house and absolutely no evidence that she
is going anywhere else. Besides that, the volume in the
drawer is pretty indicative that we have two cats using the system.
The very best part is that this system is absolutely hassle free.
You add the litter, you occasionally empty the drawer and add
a little more litter as required. There's no odor.
The box is beautifully engineered to address all of the objections
you've ever had to a litter box. It doesn't get stuck and
sound alarms in the middle of the night. There isn't
any odor in the house because the litter is always clean.
There are no special containers to purchase. The waste tray fits
neatly into a 4 gallon trash bag. We usually empty our tray every
couple of days, but we could easily go 3 or 4 without a problem.
The only thing I find myself doing that is problematic is putting
too much litter into the box. It's a carryover from the
days when more litter helped to control the odor in the box. No
need for that now. The waste stays in the litter only 7
minutes before it is whisked away into the drawer and completely
clean again for the next use. We were using 20 to
30 pounds of litter a week before. We have used a 20 pound
box for the last two weeks, and have barely used half of it.
Finally, someone built a better mousetrap in the form of a litter
box. Thanks!

We have two cats that stay in our den. Until we purchased
our second Litter-Robot. We were using a conventional litter
cat box. My wife was going through one to one and a half 14 pound
boxes of litter a week. With the Litter-Robot we might go through
one 14 pound box of litter every two weeks.
We also have 9 other cats that stay in their own pet room. This
room was built especially for the cats. The cats have free
run of this room. They also have the ability to go outside
when ever they want to. They come and go all day and all
night long. Before I purchased the Litter-Robot I was going through
three 14 pound boxes of litter a week. If the weather outside
was bad. I could go through even more litter.
Now that I have the Litter-Robot, I go through a 14 pound box
of litter every two weeks. The most I ever had to use was a 14
pound box of litter in a week. The reason being is that it rained
every day that particular week.
Important Note: The two cats that stay in the den have no access
to the outside at all. They stay in the den all the time.
I feel that the reason that the Litter-Robot uses less litter
is due to its design. It cleans the litter so well that
you don't waste good litter. The Litter-Robot gets rid of only
the litter that has been soiled. The clean litter stays. In
contrast a conventional cat box you lose a lot of clean litter
when you scoop it out. Not only does the soiled litter get thrown
out, but the good or clean litter gets thrown out as well.
In conclusion: Before the Litter-Robot I was using 4 fourteen
boxes of litter a week for 11 cats. That equals roughly 16 fourteen
pound boxes of litter a month. Now that I have purchased the
two Litter-Robots I am only using 4 fourteen pound boxes a month.
That comes out to one 14 pound box of litter a week for 11 cats.
The 11 cats go through 30 pounds of dry cat food a month.

Hi again:
We've just experienced the best customer service we've ever had
from any company we've ever dealt with.
We're not sure whether it was a manufacturing defect in the rubber
septum, or the cat's vigorous cut'n'cover, but somehow, a serious
hole developed, and the Litter-Robot began dumping more of the
litter than it should into the tray with each cycle. I notified
Automated Pet Care Products, Inc. about the problem by email,
and within half an hour, they were on the phone offering to ship
a replacement globe the next day. They even coddled our
Litter-Robot dependent cats by not asking us to ship the original
globe back first, all at their expense. The new globe is functioning
perfectly.
Many other companies we've dealt with have not been nearly so
accommodating, and certainly not so speedy. I just thought you'd
like to know.

Better than advertised
We could hardly wait for the Litter-Robot to be delivered. It's
a marvel of engineering and efficiency. It does what the web-site
says it will, and it's so quiet we never notice when it's cycling. If
our cats could talk, I'm sure they'd want me to say, "Thanks,
people!"
As a person who is allergic to the cats, I can also add that
the room in which we keep the Litter-Robot is now so much less
dusty that I can actually go in there from time to time and
use it as a workroom.
What a great idea, and what a neat website!
Thanks,

I wanted to let you know how much I love my new Litter-Robot.
At first my cat Jasper didn't want to use it and it took a
couple days for him to use it. Now he likes it and has
finally figure out that he can get in it and turn around and
stick his head out and then go. This way he has more room.
I love how easy it works and how clean it always is. I
have told a lot of my friends about it and hope that they will
take my advice and get one also. I just think
it's great and I hope a lot of people will get one. My cat
loves it and so do I.
Thanks so much!!

There are two marvels of electronic and mechanical wizardry
I couldn't imagine living without: my car, and my Litter-Robot.
Ever since seeing the video clip on the www.Litter-Robot.com
website, I dreamed of what life might be like if it didn't
entail incessantly scooping litter for 4 feline friends. Quite
frankly, I had to have one.
Having watched (with crossed fingers) my other dying "automatic
litter box" wince in pain as it hit the proverbial "wall" that
all marathon runners must face, I knew its days were numbered. I
often thought, "there has to be a better device on the market".
I was more than willing to pay more to get a product that would
stand the test of time and numerous cycles.
I was thrilled when my Internet search engine brought me to
the Litter-Robot website. Having read the online information
regarding this wonderful invention, I quickly ordered one.
The Sales and Customer Service representatives were knowledgeable,
helpful, and very friendly. I uncrated and set up the
Litter-Robot where the deceased previous "automatic litter
box" once resided. The cats were fascinated with this machine.
As any cat owner (or ownee) knows, a feline's curiosity is
overwhelming. Because I told them they couldn't go into
the unit, (I hadn't even familiarized myself with the well-written
owner's manual yet) the cats couldn't get into the sphere fast
enough. I felt like a ride operator trying to hold back
a group of anxious teenagers at the local theme park.
The system was easy to initialize and fill. The quality of
this unit is top-notch, appliance grade. The unit does everything
the folks at Litter-Robot claimed it would, and my cats love
it. They particularly enjoy watching the unit cycle - undoubtedly
wondering to themselves "why didn't we think of that!"
I can't say enough about the people at Automated Pet Care Products,
Inc. or their remarkable Litter-Robot. I highly recommend both.
They made the proverbial "better mouse trap", and I came running...no
litter scooper in hand!
Sincerely
Phil Hoolehan

Male cats tend to "load the tanks" at the water bowl and leave
wet clumps that extend to the bottom of the litter box. With
both #1's and #2's, the LitterMaid unit would run the rake
through this mess while it was still sticky and leave me with
an impossible cleaning job.
With the ingenious [Litter-Robot] sifting grate inside the
bowl, I have not noticed any stuck clumps after several weeks.
Even more aggravating, the LitterMaid would start hacking away
at a clump stuck to the bottom at 3AM in the morning. When
this failed after 20 noisy attempts, it would sit there and
beep until I got up and manually cleared the jam. There is
no beeper or jammed rakes on the Litter-Robot.

After throwing out three defective different models of the
competition which stopped working in too short a time, I'm
quite happy to own a Litter-Robot.
My cat doesn't shovel out a mess on the floor since it's virtually
an enclosed unit. The other competitive mechanical litter
disposal machines also leaked litter from seams in odd places.
They were very noisy too while Litter-Robot is almost silent.
My cat seems to appreciate the greater depth of the litter,
allowing it to clump more solidly than the required shallowness
of those competitive ugly tan units as well. I purchased
it in light green which blends in with the color scheme of
the room and it looks quite artistic in design--rather unexpected
for a litter disposal device.
The ease in emptying the waste container is unmatched. It
sure beats using a rake all over the surface, coming up with
most -- but not al l-- of the unpleasant looking results. It
remains remarkably clean inside whereas all other mechanical
and non mechanical units soon become an eyesore.

In my home we have 2 adults, 4 kids, 2 dogs and 1 cat. Out
of the six of us I am the who gets the chore of cleaning the
litter box. This is the worst job in the household. It is dirty,
smelly, disgusting and just plain old gross. I have always
dreaded it but NOT ANYMORE!!!!
The Litter-Robot has actually made this chore bearable. I can't
describe to you what relief the Litter-Robot has brought to
my life. All I do is place a plastic bag in the tray and change
it twice a week. I don't have to scrape or strain the litter
anymore. I don't risk touching the dirtied litter. The
smell is trapped in the base so there is very little odor.
I have discovered that I use a lot less litter too. Before
the Litter-Robot I would use 2-3 large boxes a month. Now
I don't even go through 1. A little dab will do
ya! When I first got the Litter-Robot I wasn't
sure if my cat would use it. Well, she loves it!! She
sniffed and poked and BAMM! In she went! I keep the Litter-Robot
in my laundry room which is next to the bedrooms. There is
a very quiet hum when it cycles so it doesn't scare the pets
and you can't hear it at night.
I honestly would NEVER give up my Litter-Robot! It is the best
thing on the market by far!
Thanks Litter-Robot!
