Hi, there!
I admit I was very skeptical. I first bought two
Litter Maid Plus
self-cleaning litter boxes. Each one lasted a
total of three days.
The rake would get stuck with the dirty clay,
the mess was horrible, it didn't do a thorough
cleaning, and the container that kept the waste
stunk big-time! While I was on the phone with
Litter Maid to tell them how much their product
sucked, I had remembered the Litter
Robot, and as I was talking with Litter Maid,
I placed my order for the Litter Robot.
The Robot arrived in a huge box. When I took everything
out, I found it was only in three pieces: the
top, the base, and the electric adapter. After
placing the top into the tracking on the base
and plugging it in, the machine worked just like
the directions said it should. The only thing
I had difficulty with was setting the sensor.
Once that was set, we had NO more problems!
I have two cats. Before I got my Robot, my mean
cat (Kitty) kept peeing on my rug. Since I'm hosting
Christmas Eve dinner at my house for my in-laws,
I wanted to make sure that there was no cat-pee
smell in the house. I ripped up my carpeting and
put down hard wood, so I was hoping that the Robot
would solve the problem....AND IT DID!
Kitty demands a clean litter box every time, otherwise,
she'll pee on the floor. She took to the Litter
Robot immediately. In fact, after using it once
or twice, she tried to keep my other cat (Squeek)
away from it - the box was all hers!
Both cats now use it. I was a bit nervous about
Squeek, because she's afraid of everything. But,
she's been using it. The house no longer smells
like cat-pee (thank God), and everyone's happy.
Especially me!
All I have to do maybe twice a week is pull out
the draw, gather up the bag and its contents,
and put in a new clean bag, which is very, very
simple.
The litter itself remains so clean, since the
Robot seems to clean it twice: It revolves one
way, and then revolves the other way, gathering
up all the waste. I didn't want to spend that
much on a machine, but let me tell you: It's worth
it! I don't regret purchasing it.
Oh, and not only is this a fantastic product,
the customer service is OUTSTANDING. They really
try to help you. Whether you e-mail them or call
them, they'll return your call almost immediately.
I wish all businesses were this way. They have
a great staff at this company.
I cannot say one bad thing about this product,
and I'll be singing its praise for a long, long
time! If you're on the fence about purchasing one,
just get it and try it for the 30-day trial period.
I doubt you'll be returning it!

Well, we now have our second reconditioned Litter
Robot, both purchased within the last 2 months.
We have seven cats, and I have been able to do
away with three litter pans. We have a Litter
Robot on each of our two main floors, and eventually
I want to get a third one for the basement. Not
only did we do away with traditional litter pans,
but we only clean the Litter Robot once daily,
whereas we were scooping twice daily before to
keep down the smell. The cats like the Robots
so much, that we only have to scoop the four traditional
pans we have left once a day too! I get up early
for work and feed the cats, and sometimes you
can hear both Litter Robots running at the same
time. They run all morning long for about the
first hour that I am up. The cats just love them,
I guess because they know they can depend upon
always having a clean litter box to use. It is
so easy to clean, and every cat we have uses it
freely, although some are still a little afraid
of it when it runs.
Thanks for making a great product. Once the word
really begins to get around about this great product,
you will have a hard time keeping up with your success!
Sincerely,
Mariella Ross

I recently ordered my first Litter Robot about
a month ago and I just wanted to let you know, I
just ordered my second Litter Robot and am throwing
out my three other Littermaids. I could kiss whoever
invented this machine!
I have four cats and bought my first Littermaid
six years ago. Since then, I have been through
at least a dozen Littermaids, two of which had
to be replaced by the manufacturer because they
did not last through their 1-year warranty. In
fact, one box was replaced three times in a two
month period because they kept sending me faulty
boxes.
I was so fed up when they sent me the third faulty
box that I gave up and kept it even though it never
really worked properly. Even after that incident,
foolish me bought yet another Litter maid--thinking
that buying the "Mega" model would be
better than the "Plus" models I had previously.
Can you believe that within eight months I was calling
the company to replace the Mega because it just
quit working one day? I have also bought three Litter-Maids
as gifts for family members and, of course, those
didn't last very long either.
Why would I waste so much money on an inferior
product, you ask? Because I didn't think I had
any other options. When you go to the pet stores,
Litter-Maid is the only automated product available.
It wasn't until I started doing some internet
research that I found you, and I am telling every
cat owner I know about the Litter-Robot. You must
get this product on the shelves of every pet store
in the country! No cat owner should be without
the Litter-Robot. I have been telling everyone
I know about your product, but I am only one person
and don't know a whole lot of people.
My cats immediately took to their new "space
ship," as we call it, and other than emptying
the drawer a couple times a week and replenishing
the litter, we have not had to do anything to
it. Ironically, we received our replacement Mega
Litter-Maid shortly after we received our new
Robot and of course we can't believe how often
we have to maintain it--we are constantly scooping
it or resetting it because it gets stuck; and
we never realized before how dirty the litter
always is because the rake breaks up the clumps.
With the Robot, the litter is always clean! We
are so spoiled now that I am going to throw out
this nearly new Litter-Maid (and two other Litter-Maids
that are on their last legs) as soon as my second
Robot comes in.

We all love our Litter-Robot. The cats adjusted
to it immediately. Now the cats wait for it to cycle
and then run and use it because they know it is
clean. How smart is that! Recently I noticed it
was not cycling properly so I called customer service
and they helped me immediately. I was hugely pleased.
I cannot express how important that was to me to
have the problem diagnosed and a “fix” suggested
so quickly, and, by such a knowledgeable and pleasant
service representative. I feel confident that if
there are any other issues, they will be addressed
just as efficiently, and with great courtesy. I
agree with other satisfied customers. This is a
great product and well worth the money. I am quite
sure that it will pay for itself over time. I use
a lot less litter now, and, of course, the time
savings is huge. I have 4 cats and empty it approximately
3 times a week - in about 3 minutes. You can't beat
that with any other product. I know I've tried them!!
Thanks again for a wonderful product and great customer
service. I am truly spoiled by this product. The
cats have never been happier.

We just received our Litter-Robot, at about 12:00
pm Pacific.
I opened the box and - put the thing together. I
confess that I did not read the directions, but
assembly took about 3 minutes including unpacking.
Then I filled the machine. Our cats were circling
me, as they are always excited for new litter, and
before I even plugged it in, Billie (our most outgoing
kitty) was inside digging. I couldn't wait the full
7 minutes, so I pushed cycle and watched it work.
It works! Our next cat - Tess went in, but had no
business yet. So she went back out. I had to get
to work - so here I am: 12:30 pm. I can't wait until
5:00 pm - to see how many visits our Litter Robot
hosted.
By the way - I want to also give you a note about
dealing with your company. I ordered the litter-robot
on 11/16/05. I expected the product to arrive
before thanksgiving, but it didn't happen. I was
a bit
worried, thinking "maybe it's too good to be
true, and I was taken..." so I put a call into
Automated Pet Care Products - at 4:00 pm Pacific
on Friday Dec. 3rd. - which in Michigan is about
6:00 pm. I was called back SAME DAY - and put at
ease by a nice voice that acknowledged the issue
and, that my order would be reviewed and they'd
get back to me first of next week. Sure enough,
somehow my order slipped through the cracks. The
product was not shipped - so it was promptly shipped,
and I received it - a bit late for me, but I'm really
pleased with the product, and the company. Dave Rachford, CA. Back

I recently purchased 2 beautiful Ragdoll Kittens
and wanted to find a litter box that would handle
2 cats. I have never owned more than one cat at
a time before. I knew what a chore it was keeping
up with just one kitty! I looked at many different
mechanical no-hassle litter boxes. I narrowed it
down to a few and asked my husband’s opinion.
He builds high tech machines for the optical industry
and knows machinery and how things work. He looked
over everything and liked the Litter-Robot best.
I purchased it. When it came (and my goodness the
box is HUGE) he immediately checked it out. The
cats were busy checking out the packing material.
His response to the Litter-Robot was one word
-'Sweet'. My kittens took to it immediately. I left
the other box right by the litter-robot, but they
never looked back. I was careful with the cleaning
cycle since they weighed less than 5 pounds, but
even with that I could tell this was worth its weight
in gold. When they got bigger, I let it run on its
normal cycle. It is great. It is quiet, thorough,
and completely dependable. I highly recommend the
Litter-Robot to everyone! As an added bonus, the
kittens absolutely LOVED the cardboard box and the
cardboard packing material.
Thanks for making such a great product!

I've had a Litter Robot for over a year and it
is wonderful. I did have problems getting one of
my cats to use it, but both eventually did. I had
to put a gooseneck light so that it shined in one
of the port holes to light the interior. That seemed
to help her get used to it. I just ordered my second
unit after visiting family over Thanksgiving. I
discovered that my one remaining cat did not like
using the Litter Maid I keep at their house and
used a laundry basket instead! Hopefully I can remain
in my relatives good graces by getting rid of the
awful Litter Maid. I do wish I had ordered the off-white
instead of black due to the litter dust showing
so badly but it's a minor inconvenience that is
worth it to not have the smell and mess of a Litter
Maid.
I highly recommend this product to anyone with
cats!

I bought the Litter-Robot a couple of weeks ago
and I can't tell you how much I love it! My cat
took to the new litter box fairly easily and has
been using it consistently. My living space is rather
small but you can't smell a cat at all. I am able
to spend more time playing with him and practically
no time at all cleaning up. I simply throw out the
bag from the waste drawer every couple of days and
that's it! The litter stays cleaner longer and my
cat no longer scatters litter everywhere.
Thank you so much for creating such a wonderful
product!

I was so burned by a bad experience with the Litter
Maid brand that I really did not pay too much attention
to the Litter Robot when I first heard of it. My
husband was the one who did the research on it,
and convinced me that we should try one, in spite
of the cost and our bad experience with the Litter
Maid. We purchased a reconditioned unit on
November 5, and received it soon thereafter.
We
have seven cats, and seven litter pans. It has
worked really well for us. The cats were very curious
about
it, and quickly adjusted to it. Since we keep
it in a carpeted room, we put down a firm board
under
it, to ensure that the pressure-sensitive mechanism
on the step worked properly to stop it in mid-cycle,
should a cat step on it. We empty the tray once
a day to ensure there is no smell, and it is so
wonderfully effortless. I always start with it on my "litter box run" in
the mornings, and use the bag to put clumps from
our other pans in, and then all goes into the trash.
We are using it with the Cat Attract litter, which
is a good strong clumping litter, and it works great.
We are getting ready to purchase another, because
it is such a time saver, as we scoop the litter
boxes twice a day to ensure there is no smell in
our house. I highly recommend this product to anyone
with one or more cats, particularly multiple cat
households.

I bought a Litter-Robot for my two cats about 13
months ago. Within a week, both cats were using
it. I have never regretted the purchase. It is very
clean, relatively quiet, and very economical to
operate. My elderly cat adapted to it very readily,
and his younger side kick started using it the 2nd
day. I am so very pleased that I found this product
on the internet and that I made the larger investment
as compared to other automated litter cleaning devices.
I had researched them and found that the supplies
for the other devices were expensive, and that they
appeared to clog easily and burn out quickly. The
Litter Robot is a wonderful solution for owners
of indoor cats and I recommended it to all of my
cat-owning friends, as well as to a couple of cat
rescue operations that I have encountered.

I bought a refurbished and defective Litter-Robot.
Replacement was VERY prompt with free two-way shipping
for me.
Replacement has worked flawlessly for a few months.
Wife, with sensitive nose, says it's worth every
penny.
I like ease of cleaning. Two cats seem to love it.
My son bought a different brand from a pet store.
False economy. He says it's more trouble than a
conventional litter box.
He's returning it and just ordered a Litter-Robot.

I purchased this litter box about a month or so
ago. I just inherited 2 more kittens to my home.
I tried to save them, and I took them home and fell
in love with them. So now, I have 4 cats. This was
the only thing that was going to save me from the
smell, and mess that I looked forward to daily.
When I received the robot, I had no intention of
sending this handy little machine back. My cats
HAD to except it. And with some careful nudging
and re-enforcing all was OK, they finally accepted
it.
There was no way I was going to keep 4 cats, and
not have this help. It's like--using a dishwasher,
and then having to go back to washing by hand. WHY?
Anyway--VERY GOOD HELPER--I am so HAPPY with this
product!
For the makers of this product--I also have a few
dogs. I would love to have something take care of
their issues in the back yard.

We purchased our Litter-Robot two years ago this
month. It was a Christmas present my husband and
I gave ourselves (and our two indoor cats.) It is
absolutely fantastic and our only regret is that
we did not hear about it sooner. I have to rank
it right up there with our dishwasher, microwave,
and automatic garage door opener in terms of convenience,
saving time, and doing away with the back-breaking
chore of litter box scooping. It's been more than
worth the price. Also, if you have any questions,
the customer service is fantastic. Thank you Litter-Robot

WOW! I never post product testimonials, but with
the time and energy the Litter-Robot has saved me
this week, I felt compelled to send a huge endorsement
and thank you. This is the greatest invention ever!
Upon getting our kitten a month ago, we purchased
the Litter Maid self-cleaning litter box for approximately
$200. I tried for 3 weeks to get that thing to work
correctly. It caused me “more work” than
a simple $10 box with litter would have. The electric
rake kept sticking or ripping through the waste
leaving me more to scoop out every time.
It was exhausting! I just happened to find your
unit through an online search and it is the best
purchase I've ever made. My 12 week old kitten immediately
dismissed her old box and started using the Litter-Robot
as soon as I started filling it up with litter.
She didn't even let me finish filling it up all
the way before she was inside doing her thing. She
loves it! And *NO MORE SCOOPING* for me!!! This
product should be in pet stores nationwide.
Thank you,

Review by: Mark Manes of Techs-End.com
Review can be found at: http://www.techs-end.com/content/view/59/
The Litter Robot does what no other product of
its type does—it actually is a self-cleaning
litter box that really does keep itself clean by
using mechanics and a computer. That’s right—a
computer that does the job no one else wants to
do.
Meet “Malibu” Kimba, the cat that
has not seen a sand box she has ever felt should
actually hold the sand. Her nickname Malibu comes
from the fact that she is always turning whatever
room the sandbox is in—into a mini Malibu
beach resort. Her job is to insure that there is
sand for everyone to walk upon. You provide the
water; she’ll provide the beach—that
is the deal.
As much as I wanted beachfront property the bathroom
never seemed to be the right place for it. I am
determined to find a way to change Kimba’s
methods and to take away the chore of cleaning the
kitty box.
I tried several low technology solutions—one
where the walls were simply higher. That didn’t
work. Kimba adjusted her angle of attack and the
sand just poured out of the litter box. I tried
the enclosed kitty box and it just was too hard
to keep clean. I tried the high wall and mechanical
self-cleaning litter box. This solved half the problem
in that the kitty box now at least required less
maintenance from me; still the solution was not
perfect. The mechanical method of using a brush
that scrapped along the top of the sand just didn’t
work that well. The motor never had enough power
and I found myself in the bathroom helping it by
moving sand around so it was less of a burden for
the weak motor.
Then I found the Litter Robot.
The Litter Robot comes in two colors—white
and black. I highly recommend the black one as it
makes the size of the unit less ominous. It is large
as it is a sphere that is mounted on top of a pedestal
that is about a foot off the ground. The pedestal
contains a drawer where the kitty nuggets go this
is also where the computer, operations panel and
light status panel is mounted. The sphere or globe
has an entranceway for the kitty to enter. Inside
you’ll find a rubber mat where you pour in
clumping kitty litter.
The mechanism is pure genius. When I first set
it up I watched the machine sift through the sand
as the sphere rotated and I couldn’t help
but marvel at the ingenuity. The sphere has an outer
ring that is grooved. Underneath the sphere is a
gear—and it is this gear that rotates the
sphere on its east-west axis. It basically spins
the unit 45 degrees one direction and then reverses
and goes the other way 45 degrees. During this spinning
process the cat sand is sifted and a door is opened
at the bottom into the pedestal where the kitty
business is deposited.
The pedestal contains a tray that can be easily
removed and the plastic bag disposed of. Yes, you
have to use clumping kitty litter and plastic trash
bags to capture the goodies for later disposal.
What about safety? Well there are sensors built
into the step the kitty uses to enter along with
sensors on the inside. The unit immediately detects
weight placed on it and upon detection a timer is
set. This timer is what is later used to cause the
machine to rotate and self-clean. Should the kitty
return before the timer goes off to clean—the
weight of the cat entering again will reset the
timer. This is good as Kimba would only be in there
once if it started moving with her inside.
It should be noted that you have to wait for your
cat to be old enough to use the Litter Robot as
a kitten wouldn’t weigh enough to trip the
sensor. You can always tell if the sensor is working
because there is a light indicating that the unit
is in use.
I have been very pleased with it—my kitty
cleaning duties now consist of just a few moments
once a week taking a bag out and replacing it. The
great news is that you can use regular 12-gallon
trash bags. So you don’t have to buy replacement
bags from the company.
As far as Malibu Kimba goes—for the first
month or so I enjoyed little to no sand on the bathroom
floor. The second month she learned that if she
backs out of the Litter Robot it is perfect for
sand spreading onto the bathroom floor. I am taking
much less collateral damage from her now while not
the perfect solution it is at least tolerable. I
use the Dust Buster and clean up her handy work.
So what is not to like? The cost. This machine
sells for $329. Yes, a lot for a machine but the
advantages of finally having a solution that really
is self-cleaning and that reduces the aerial sandstorm
by 75% is worth it. The machine has an 18-month
warranty and you can order online at www.litter-robot.com.
Highly Recommended.

As I read about the Litter-Robot, I was most concerned
with the price. I thought it just my luck that I
would make such a purchase and my cat would not
use it.
Circumstances were such that I was moving into
a mobile home which had virtually no place for a
conventional litter box and I had to do something.
Abandoning the cat was not an option, so I splurged!
Not only did "Little One" take to the
new box but it is just as good as advertised. It
is easy to clean, no traditional mess and the cat
even seems fascinated when it goes into its cleaning
cycle. She sits and watches.
I highly recommend!!

I have had my Litter-Robot
for 72 hours. All 3 cats
are using it. Their old boxes
are still available to them
but they prefer the robot!
Even my 16-year-old and very
frail cat is using it.
I have a suggestion for an
additional product. I think
it would be nice to have
a litter catcher that fits
around the robot. I envision
a tray with a grate over
it that fits around the base.
The litter that the cats
carry out or throw out would
get caught in the grate.
This would greatly reduce
the tracking. If you make
it, I will buy it.
I know it is early but so
far I love the robot!!

I recently bought a litter
robot for my 2 cats and I
love it!! It was easy to
set up, is a breeze to clean
and saves me money on litter!!
I am a stay at home mom of
an infant and my time is
at a premium. I was throwing
away about 10 lb of litter
a week because I didn't have
time to scoop it regularly.
Now with the litter robot
the litter lasts up to 4
times as long!! Before long
it will pay for itself. Now
I just empty the bag twice
a week. Also it is going
to be a big help when we
are on vacation in a few
months. It is easier to find
someone to come over and
change out the bag in the
Litter Robot than a regular
box. Our family loves your
product!!

I have never before been
so thrilled with a product
that I felt compelled to
write a testimonial about
it, but the litter-robot
is the best invention I have
ever run across in my life.
I can not even begin to describe
how amazing this thing is.
I got it less than a week
ago and my life has changed
dramatically. I have nine
cats. Yes, I said nine. My
husband was at the point
that he was begging me to
find a home for some of my
babies because of the horrid
smell and mess from the litter
maid boxes.
As far as I'm concerned
the litter maid is worse
than a plain litter box because
of the disgusting mess it
makes. It smears poop all
over everything, the rakes
are so caked with excrement
that half the litter is scooped
into the holding container
every time it cycles. The
container did not prevent
smell from escaping, and
between the holding receptacle
and the poop smeared all
over everything, our house
continually stunk to high
heaven. (And cleaning it?
What an ordeal that I dreaded.
I had to empty it and wash
it with soap at least once
a week, and should have done
it more than that because
of the waste smeared all
over it .And because of the
electrical parts it was difficult
to clean and keep water out
of the components.) Also,
it only allowed you to put
such a thin layer of litter
in, that the cat's urine
would go to the bottom, turn
the clay into cement, and
then clog up the rakes as
they tried to go through.
The litter-Robot contains
NO electrical components
in the part that the cat
gets into. Only in the base
that the top part sits on.
I've had no poop get on the
top part anyway. The only
think I've done in one week
with the litter robot is
take one lysol wipe and dab
at one eensy teensy little
smear less than half an inch
long that didn't even have
any obvious mess on it. I
really didn't even need to
do that, but I'm just so
used to having to spend all
my spare time cleaning up
cat mess. Thank God I found
the litter-Robot!!!!!!! This
thing is amazing. My cats,
all nine of them, took to
it almost immediately with
the exception of one young
one who was initially frightened,
but overcame his fear within
24 hours.
The litter-robot empties
the waste without smearing
it or breaking it apart.
Because I have nine cats
the support staff suggested
I might need more than one,
but whereas I had to empty
my litter-maid at least twice
a day in addition to scraping
cementified litter and clay
off the bottom, I have been
able to let my litter robot
go for a couple of days!
And even then I could probably
let it go longer as it is
not overly full. And there
has been NO SMELL from it
at all. Can you imagine nine
cats using a litter box and
having no smell? And I really
mean NO SMELL at all! Also,
I have not yet had to add
any litter to what I initially
put in, whereas I was having
to add litter EVERY day to
the litter maid because it
scooped so much extra litter
into the waste receptacle.
I swear to you I am not making
this up . I am telling the
Gods honest truth. Also,
there are no expensive receptacles
to buy. I bought a roll of
plastic bags from Wal-Mart.
I got over 70 bags for about
two and a half dollars. The
waste empties INTO the bag,
unlike my litter maid where
the waste goes into the receptacle,
around the receptacle, smeared
on the edges of the box,
the rake, and the rest dumped
around the box on the floor.
I promise you will not regret
purchasing this litter-robot.
My ONLY regret is that I
did not purchase it when
I initially learned of it.
Initially the price seemed
a bit expensive to me and
I had to think and save a
while before I bought it.
But now that I have it and
have used it, It is more
than worth every single penny
I paid for it. I wouldn't
take $50,000 for my litter-robot
if it meant I had to go back
to a litter-box or litter-maid.
Thank you from the bottom
of my heart to the litter
robot inventors and staff.
Sincerely,
Jill Brooks

At first I thought "Wow,
that's expensive" but
now I would have paid more!!
This product is seriously
the best thing I have invested
in...I also was a little
intimidated about the assembly,
but was so impressed how
easy it was to put together
and operate. I walked around
my apartment with a smile
on my face thinking how I
wouldn't have to bend down
and clean a litter box ever
again! It's truly a dream...Thank
you!

Hi Tim,
I just wanted to drop you a note to let you know how successful
the Litter Robot has been. When the box arrived I was in awe
at the size of it! I took the LR out of the box and my three
girls eyed it suspiciously. I was impressed with the sturdiness
of it and its design. I set it up in the cellar and then waited
to see how they would react. I had my doubts at first, my Coon
eyed the globe with trepidation (she is extra large (17 lbs)
and also a chicken at heart). The kitten was excited about the
new "toy" and immediately started using it. I often
find her waiting for the toy to "move". My other,
a "Felix Unger" to the extreme (can you say persnickety?)
also took to the LR. She does NOT like having to use a litter
box - unless it is pristine. A communal one basically puts her
over the edge. I am happy to report my King size chicken has
embraced it. Miss Felix Unger has as well - to have her accept
the new gadget is a HUGE compliment to you all. I am amazed
how wonderfully it works. It is very economical with litter
so that in itself is a savings. It's a time saver as well -
and as we all know, time has no price tag.
I had purchased the Litter Maid Mega prior to the Litter Robot.
It failed while I was setting it up. The blasted thing cost
$100.00 at BJ's (a supposed bargain). It blows the mind that
the manufacturer has the nerve to promote such a useless piece
of %^&*(. It is flimsy in construction and then you are
forced to purchase the waste receptacles - which are expensive
to boot. The same night it failed (while the expletives about
the Litter Maid were still hanging in midair) I did research
on the web and found you guys. The price rather put me off but
after I read all the testimonials I figured I had nothing to
lose except the cost of shipping it back. It was worth the gamble.
It was the best money I have ever spent. Kudos to you all for
a fantastic product. My girls always have a clean litter box
now. My husband is happy too (since he is usually the one to
clean it.. )
As a side note, I have been planning to get a new kitty for
my parents. The lost their cat a year ago and have been reluctant
in getting another. As they are elderly, the idea of a litter
box rather puts them off of getting another cat. Discovering
the LR allows them a different perspective on the litter box.
I plan to get them a LR as well.
A thought for you - your product would be highly beneficial
for senior citizens. It would allow them to have a cat - as
everyone knows, pets do wonders for elders. Maybe you could
offer a discount for them. Just a suggestion... :)
I am spreading the word about you guys and wonderful product
to anyone who gives me an ear.
Again, Kudos and God Bless.
Silvana and my girls, Misha (aka Felix), Nikita (aka King size
chicken)
and Allison (the baby).

My Litter-Robot arrived today. Within five minutes, my cat
Bobby had already used it! My other cat, Lily used it within
an hour. No problems whatsoever. Yes, the Litter-Robot is expensive...but
it's worth every penny. The way the sifter works there is no
unused litter thrown out. Whatever clumps is what gets scooped.
After reading other testimonials, I decided to try the cheapest
scoop litter at the grocery. It worked perfectly! I know I'm
going to save a lot of money on litter from now on.
In the past five years, I've owned (2) Litter-Maids. I had
the same problems the other testimonials have mentioned: I had
to use "premium" litter and that gets expensive; the
rake would get clogged with wet clay or poo; if the rake couldn't
finish the scoop cycle it would repeat and repeat and repeat.
It was also loud (even the "new and improved" motor
on Litter-Maid #2)- and those plastic replacement trays were
too small, bad for the environment, and the tops never sat flush
on the tray so the stink was always there. My last Litter-Maid
lasted three months before the cord that attached to the the
rake came loose, went into the box and was yanked out by the
rake. Both Litter-Maids did this. The last time it happened
I was on vacation in Hawaii and I came home to a BIG mess made
by two unhappy cats. Aloha...oy!
Because of its design, this won't - and can't - happen with
the Litter-Robot. No rakes, no exposed cords, no plastic trays
to buy every few months, no need for premium litter...and no
smells. The cats weren't even spooked by the motor. I bought
the Litter-Robot because Lily was having issues with my Booda
litter box and the Feline Pine. She was showing her displeasure
by going on the carpet. She has also gotten into the habit of
peeing while standing up. This was a big problem with the Litter-Maid
because it would get all over the box and inside the tent! The
Booda
Box with Feline Pine was only marginally better because after a few hours it
would smell and I couldn't scoop it. With the Litter-Robot, she still goes
standing up, but because the globe is rounded and the litter is scoopable,
it makes a nice clump and is whisked away. And once it's whisked away there
is NO smell! Unbelievable.
THANK YOU Litter-Robot!

Dear Litter Robot employees,
First I would like to commend you on your speedy service! This
product was SO easy to set up; I had no problems whatsoever;
great instructions! The Litter Robot works perfectly though
I haven’t been able to get one of my cats to use it. This
is my fault and could be remedied by me trying all the suggestions
listed on line and in the book. I expect that she will sooner
or later use it after I have left the litter boxes dirty, or
lock her up with no choice but the Litter Robot. I had hoped
I wouldn’t have to do that but it looks like I will. I
love the Litter Robot and when the other cat starts using it
I will love it even more. What a great invention!

We have 4 cats. I despise cleaning litter boxes. It brings
me to tears, and I literally force myself not to vomit. In the
past, we have had 3 litter-boxes, and they all were disgusting
within two or three days. We dumped money into the Littermaid,
and gave it away within a week, as it was more difficult to
clean than regular boxes.
I then found your product in an online message board. The reviews
were stellar, and I was happy to spend the money with dreams
and expectations of no more scooping while holding my breath.
From the moment I switched it on, I have never regretted my
purchase. We have saved $100's on cat litter, as the Litter-Robot
is using 1/4 the amount of the 3 old school litter-boxes. It
is easy to use, clean, and the cats are not afraid of it. Fantastically
simple design that has few moving parts, so very little can
go wrong. NO MORE STINKY SMELL!
Your tech support... it is unbelievable! I was stunned to find
that you had extended hours, with real people sitting at the
other end that easily solved my problem. This gets my highest
marks, however... I am spoiled now, I will NEVER go back to
an archaic litter-box. EVER!
VIVA La LITTER-ROBOT!
Thank you so much...

product! I was having problems with my unit, they sent me a

I adopted a 3-legged feral cat almost two years ago and used
the traditional litter box and litter. Three months later, I
married and my husband got his first real taste of being around
a cat. In July of this year my husband and I adopted 3 cats
from two different humane societies and decided that with 4
cats, we needed something more efficient than traditional litter
boxes (we had 5 at this point). I researched the matter and
surfed the web for quite awhile and came across the Litter-Robot.
Without my husband's knowledge, I spent the money for two Litter-Robots.
After almost a month, my husband stated he didn't care how much
I spent, and that I should order two more! He loves them and
the two we have run almost continuously with the 4 apparently
healthy cats we have. Even our larger (20 pounds) cat uses the
Litter-Robot and it's quite comical since his head sticks out
when he does his thing. Thank you so much for making our cat
ownership more of a pleasure than we ever thought it would be.
If we didn't have the Litter-Robot, we'd be scooping almost
round-the-clock. Thanks again, and rest assured, we tout the
wonders of the Litter-Robot to all our cat-loving friends and
family. By the way, any chance you're working on something similar
for dogs? Thanks again!

I think the phrase "Don't know how I ever lived without
one" is overused, but if any product is deserving, than
this is it! I am a doctor in my intern year, frequently working
80 hours a week. With 2 cats, I just don't have time to be scooping
litter all the time, but that's what it had come to. I kept
my old litter box outside on the balcony, which worked great
for preventing the box odor in the home (and with a cat door
let my cats have some freedom), but even with a hood, it would
still get messy and attract flies, making cleaning the box the
old way a disgusting chore I never looked forward to, and more
and more so, just didn't have time to do as often as I would
like.
The Litter-Robot was a godsend. I put it in the place of the old litter box
and my cats instantly took to it; no adjustment period needed for my cats,
once I took the old box away and they saw there was litter in this funny looking
new thing, they climbed right in. At first I was not sure if it was working
properly, since there is a 7 minute delay, but I saw it working worry-free
later that day. The engine noise was a curiosity to the cats at first, but
they eventually got used to it. The device is a great piece of engineering
and ingeniously designed, with all sorts of guards and safeties--you guys thought
of everything! I've had it for less than a week, and I could never go back
to the old way of changing litter again. Now all I have to do is change a bag
twice a week, much like the regular garbage. And I have my balcony back, with
this curious looking UFO-thing on it, but with much less litter odor... so
we can enjoy the hammock and lounging out there again. Thank you Litter-Robot!

I have waited to give my testimonial to get the full use of
the Litter-Robot I purchased the unit April 2005, today is August
4th 2005. Well, to start off with I Love the Litter-Robot. There
is nothing that can come close to the performance of the hard-working
space age looking Litter-Robot. There is nothing to it! My 2
cats had no problem adjusting to their new place to do their
duty. Not once has the smell been a problem, there is no smell.
Cleaning is easy, changing the bags, adding litter a snap. I
would not be without the fantastic Litter-Robot. My first thought
was the price, yes, it is pricey but well worth every penny.
Every feline owner would love it!! When I first became owner
of my "kids with 4 legs" the first thing I thought
of is the dreaded litter changing. The Litter-Robot has proved
to me to be the BEST ever!! I have spoken to Brad, he has been
very helpful when he answered my questions. Shirley, she is
super, she is also very helpful. There is no way I'll be without
the Litter-Robot. I'm so glad I found the Litter-Robot.

I just received my Litter Robot a few days ago. I bought it
because I'm trying to get pregnant, and I'm not supposed to
clean a litter box. It took me less than 10 minutes to set it
up. I am actually quite stunned by its performance. First, I
have a large male cat who, um, has a very healthy metabolism.
I bought a Litter Maid a few years ago, and it was just disastrous.
It was messy and couldn't handle the workload. Second, both
of my cats are pretty old and both are very skittish! I was
concerned when I read the section called "Is the Litter-Robot
Right For Your Cat?" which said that cats that don't accept
change or are skittish might not use the box. I was certain
this would be the case for us. But on the very first day (later
in the evening), I decided to leave the Robot plugged in. While
the cats were very curious, they used it without hesitation.
I am amazed that there is zero smell after three days. For someone
who is used to changing a litter box every day to prevent odors,
this is nothing short of a blessing.

Hi,
Just wanted to send you a note regarding my litter-robot which I have now owned
for 30 days. I am very pleased and have been telling everyone I know about
it!
I have 4 cats, soon to be five and my Buffy is a very large male. He was the
one that had the most trouble trusting this new machine mommy had brought into
the house. I actually had to put him in it on three occasions before he realized
it was okay and he would not get stuck in it. You see, his whiskers touched
the sides of the entrance and that made him very nervous. My "kids" are
all very happy now and always have a nice smelling clean litter box to use.
Like most of your other robot owners, I too had gone from the big hooded litter
boxes, 4 of them, to trying the LitterMaid which was a difficult box to keep
clean with 4 cats. I was always cleaning the rake, scraping the bottom of the
box and trying different litters to make it easier, what a disaster.
My friends and family, on the other hand, think I am nuts to spend soo much
on a device for my cats and I just tell them to compare it to how much they
spend on their kids! Of course it would be nice if the robot cost a little
less, because then I could by another one, but all is well with just one for
now.
One other comment, if you are designing a new model, might I suggest a larger
drawer for catching the waste. With 4 cats I empty the drawer every day and
a half, and this makes it difficult to go away, still have to set up those
old litter boxes. Just a suggestion and keep me posted!
Thanks again for your bright thoughts and inventive attitudes.
Sincerely,
Pauline A. Pleau, a happy customer

Your product works unlike anything I have ever had. I had 2
LitterMaid's in 6 months. The rake repeatedly stuck in one place
and eventually quit. This caused my cat to have urinary tract
infections. Since receiving the Litter Robot, I have been nothing
but impressed and happy. I have even told friends and family
who have cats what a wonderful invention it is. It is a pricey
item but the amount on kitty liter I save a month helps. I am
sure it will pay for itself and after years of being on the
market and spreading the word maybe the price will come down.
It is so worth it though!!
Thanks so much,
April

The Litter Robot and the Company are Wonderful!! Last year
we purchased a Litter Robot for two cats. It only needs to be
changed once a week. The cats took to it immediately. On two
occasions I called Customer Service. The staff was very friendly
and immediately took care of my problem. The second time I called
on a Saturday because the Robot was not working properly. I
was thrilled that they were available on a Saturday. Shirley
Kaminski talked me though the situation and the Litter Robot
was running strong within 5 minutes.
My mother-in-law is blind and needed a litter box that would
be reliable. We had purchased another automatic box and that
broke within months. THE LITTER ROBOT HAS NOW BEEN CONSISTENTLY
GIVING GREAT SERVICE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE. It has
given our family peace of mind and it is so easy to maintain.
My thanks to the wonderful staff that truly cares about their
customers.

I have had the Litter Robot for about 3 weeks now, and it
is great. I was worried that it wouldn't do what it claimed
to. My mom had had a Litter Maid for 1 day and had to send it
back because it didn't work. The Litter Robot is awesome. My
cat took to it immediately, and loves it. He is very picky,
and loves to have a clean box all of the time. When it wasn't
clean he would kick out litter on to the floor of the bathroom.
With the Litter Robot he always has a clean box and our bathroom
is much cleaner. We call it "The Death Star" because
it looks so funny. We live in a one bedroom apartment and there
is no more litter box smell. The best part is with only one
cat I only have to clean it once a week, and it is so easy to
change the bags. The money that we will save on litter will
pay for the Litter Robot in less than a year. It is a definite
must for anyone who has indoor cats.

I just have to say how great Automated Pet Care Products Customer
Service Dept has been to work with (especially Theresa).
My litter-robot started giving me problems and I had to send it back for repair.
In transit to Automated Pet Care Products, the base was lost by the shipping
company. I was in desperate need of getting the base repaired and returned
to me as soon as possible. I explained this to Theresa who immediately had
a brand new base shipped the very same day my old base was to have been delivered
to them. Wow! I cannot say enough about the litter-robot and Automated Pet
Care! I absolutely love the litter-robot and would recommend it to anyone who
has cats (especially more than one cat).
Once again, thank you Theresa for such excellent service!

WOW! The Litter Robot Is literally the best. I wish the Robot
had been my invention as it is a real winner. I have had two
of these units for 3 years and I just ordered 3 more. I have
9 cats and they all use the Robot. I hate cat litter boxes and
the messy litter on the floor. The robot eliminates most of
the problem. We are in the process of remodeling our home and
one of the additions will be a cat unit that will house all
my nine cats. My grandchildren and their friends like to visit
the cats, and the Robot cuts down on the odor. THANKS again
for the great Litter Robot.

"From
my cold dead hands" will anyone
pry the litter robot from our
house! I've had cats my entire life,
and for the past 20, my husband
and I have never had less than 7. I
looked at the other automated
boxes but never bought one because I
just knew they weren't well
designed.
I heard about
this box at a local vet clinic, and
the woman
who told me about it swore by it. I
immediately went home and found
the website. I knew I would have to
replace our THREE Omega Paw litter
boxes, soon, as they were old, beginning
to absorb odors, and the
plastic edges were breaking, I, too,
thought the litter robot was
pricey, but the 30 day guarantee and
18 month warranty swung me over.
I could hardly wait for it to arrive
(5 days!), but was concerned about the
setup. It is incredibly well designed,
easy to set up, and wonder of wonders,
it works beautifully! It is so intuitive,
and our cats adapted easily. Although
I still have two of the older boxes
downstairs, I will remove one of these
boxes next week and hope to be down
to just the litter robot in the next
month. I saved the box in case I needed
to return the litter robot. The box
goes out in the trash tomorrow!
Someone please give the designer a
kiss for me! The litter robot is pure
genius!

A
friend told me about the Litter-Robot
and highly recommended your product
to me and my partner. I read the many
testimonials on your website and decided
to give it a try. Once I received the
robot and set it up, I waited, and waited,
and waited - no luck. This was a battle
of wills between me and my two cats!
By reducing the number of litter boxes
and refusing to clean the other litter
boxes, both of my cats finally adopted
the Litter-Robot. The transition took
around three weeks. Thank you very much
for such an outstanding product, I'm
so happy!

All I can say is that I am very pleased
with your product. I had three Litter
Maids in less than a year, and I always
thought that the rake was gooping up
on them because one of my males is very
large and he urinates a lot. After I
realized that it wasn't just my kids
who were having problems with their
toilet, and after the last one burnt
up, I went searching for something better.
I feel that I have found it with the
Litter Robot…
I read the forums carefully while waiting
on the box to arrive, and I have to
admit I was a little skeptical after
reading how many problems some of the
others were having. I was expecting
to have at least one cat who wasn't
prepared to give up the old box, ( I
have four kids, three boys and one little
girl) Within an hour, maybe more, maybe
less they had all used the box at least
once. I knew right then and there that
I had made the right decision by purchasing
the robot. I do have to change the bag
every morning, but I am much more inclined
to switch a garbage bag out than I am
to go "treasure hunting" everyday.
Thank you Litter Robot for making my
life a little easier, and for giving
my kids a clean toilet!

We’re very happy with our Litter-Robot,
having used it for a couple months now.
I appreciate your simple and robust
design. It works perfectly every time
and is a breeze to clean. We’d
been using an open litter box and were
worried our cat might be leery about
the confined quarters, but he used it
in the first 30 minutes without hesitation.
We’re thrilled with the reduction
in disgusting chores, and he’s
happy to have clean litter always available.
Great product!

Hello you wonderful people, I have had
my litter-robot for over 2 years and
absolutely love it, as do my two 16
pound cats. I have told so many people
about it I think I'm on your staff.
My cats not only use it when necessary,
but spend time looking at it in between
uses, maybe thinking its going to work
again. It is so easy to empty and no
cat box smell in the house. The new
litter robot sounds like a good deal
with the kick guards already installed,
and the multiple litter uses. I would
buy another in a heart beat. I found
that when I did have a question, your
service people were very polite and
helped me in a flash. I'm hoping my
daughter will also purchase a litter
robot for her 4 cats.
Thanks again for such a perfect pet
product, and it also saves money on
cat litter due to no waste.

I love my litter-robots. With 11 cats
and 2 bots they get a work out. But
they keep on going. Brad and his crew
have been very helpful whenever a problem
a raises. A few years ago I was calling
Brad on his Christmas vacation for a
temporary electric line. He told me
what to buy and it worked fine until
I could get a replacement. Thank You
Brad and the whole crew.
No one even knows there are 11. The
dogs smell worse than the cats. For
those who want to know I clean drawers
every other day and use 28 pounds of
litter every 2 to 3 weeks. At $5.48
a box it is a bargain.
Love you guys

I just wanted to tell you that we have
been through all the fad litter boxes,
the Litter Free, Littermaid and hated
them all. I was so bad at keeping up
with the litter box that I am embarrassed
to say that my cat would pee on my clean
clothes and poop outside of the litter
box. The litter robot has been the answer
to my cat’s prayers!!

Just wanted to let you know that after
our one-year litter-robot anniversary,
all is well. Whidbey faithfully uses
his “flushable” potty and
shuns any other cheap imitation. My
newly adopted blue-point girls are still
curious after two months of running
in to catch the show and I’m preparing
to transition them over as well. I suspect
a second order is forthcoming.
What a great, sturdy product and a
fabulous customer service department.
You are to be commended for restoring
faith in the honesty and integrity of
business, so sorely lacking these days.
Thank you for making this the best purchase
I’ve made in years. Keep up the
good work and with the development of
a deeper pan (my only suggestion, this
coming from one who travels for a week
at a time).
Kudos!

I recently purchased a Litter Robot
after much internal deliberation due
to the price. However, I no longer even
THINK about the price because this appliance
has made my life about 20 times easier
and my cats about 20 times happier!
The litter is always clean! That boggles
my mind to the extent that I keep wandering
the house muttering, “The Litter!
It’s always Clean!”
I have persuaded a friend of mine to
purchase one, and he says I should be
your spokesperson. I have to laugh,
since “The Litter! It’s
always Clean!” is hardly the most
brilliant of taglines. I do, however,
wish to thank you for this miracle machine,
for me, for my cats, and for my visitors,
who never again have to pretend they
don’t smell a litter box.
Many thanks!

I just received my first Litter Robot
5 days ago. My 2 cats used it right
away and then when it cycled and I saw
how easy it was and well it worked,
I said aloud "Where has this been
all of my life?"
I have tried the sifting bags, sifting
boxes, and just about every other type
of manual cleaning litter box on the
market, and they still stink and you
have to clean them every day. I tried
the Litter Maid and my oldest cat thought
that the rake was a ride and would ride
it all of time. Besides that it was
more work to clean it than what it was
worth, you had to use special containers,
the rake would get all gunky and litter
would stick to the bottom. Since the
motors are in the rake (the part that
needs cleaning all of the time) you
have to be careful or you will ruin
it. I ended up throwing mine out.
The Litter-Robot has no motors in the
dome and you can take it outside and
hose it off. The litter goes into a
tray at the bottom that you use any
kind of trash bag you like (I use the
scented kitchen bags). My oldest cat
(4 years), he still swats it when it
is cycling and my youngest (8 months),
she tries to stand on the step and watch,
which stops the cycling every time.
I am gradually getting them used to
it, but until then, when I am not home
I unplug it and plug it in when I get
home and it automatically cycles to
clean the box.
I will never own another kind of litter
box.
Thank You Litter Robot!

I can't tell you how much we enjoy the
litter robot. We have three cats and
have had Littermaids for 11years. Two
of the cats started using it immediately
and one would simply sit in front of
it for hours waiting on it to cycle.
We followed the directions and within
10 days everyone was happy and we took
the Littermaid away and have never regretted
it.
Clean up is the best part, simply lift
the plastic bag and place into the trash.
What could be easier?

Just wanted to let you know that I
received your product about a week or
so ago. I set it up, plugged it in and
just simply put it in place of the old
litter box. My cat had no trouble understanding
what to do. Within a few minutes she
had used the litter robot. She immediately
came back to where I was sitting with
a few comments which seemed very positive
- really!
Since then, I have had no problems.
The robot works just like your information
said it would and the only mess is some
tracking of litter from my cat's paws.
I am really happy with my purchase since
I know my cat is getting a much more
sanitary place to do her business each
and every time.
I had the Litter Maid before your product
and had only had it a couple of months
before it broke down. The rake was constantly
getting all kinds of goop on it and
getting stuck. The rake also had a tendency
to break up the clumps and leave the
smaller clumps behind so even though
it was supposed to be automatic, I was
continually having to scoop out what
didn't get in the waste receptacle.
Also, I had to clean up all the litter
that got under the machine where the
litter fell through the opening where
the plastic tray fits into the machine
- what a mess!
At first I was a little hesitant to
pay that much for a litter box, but
I definitely didn't want to just buy
another Litter Maid. Buying something
again that had proven not to work was
simply stupid. Your product seemed to
be a better idea and your warranty gave
me the needed assurance to take the
plunge. I couldn't be happier with your
product. My husband baulked at first,
but had to admit that it was worth it.
He calls it the "Poop Sphere”.

If your cats were human beings, buying
the Litter-Robot is like throwing them
the keys to a Ferrari!
The only thing more excellent than this
product, is the amazing support and
customer service. A bargain at
any price!

Let
me just say "Wow". My
cats think this is the greatest thing
created since God made mother's milk.
They are simply enthralled with your
machine. I purchased my first
one two days ago. I have since
ordered another one for myself. Then
I will order one for my daughter.
I have told everyone who will listen
about this great machine where there
is no scooping, no smell, no bending
over, no rakes etc. etc. etc.
I owned four LitterMaids at one time.
I gave them all away with apologies
that they were not Litter-Robot units.
Your machine makes those obsolete !!!!
Great work guys.
