1. I use clumping corn litter, will that work in the litter Robot 4?
The Litter-Robot works well with most clumping or scoopable litters. Litter beads and crystals that are small enough to pass through the screen will also work. We tend to find the best results from an unscented, standard-weight clay clumping litter such as Litterbox.com www.litterbox.com/subscribe/litter.html

Plant-based litters tend to form looser clumps than alternatives. This can cause condensation in the waste drawer, which causes more odor and corrosion of nearby components. If you use a plant-based litter, we recommend changing the bag and cleaning more frequently.

  3. Does the litter robot 4 connect to a 5G wifi gateway?
It needs a 2.4 GHz connection. Most routers will broadcast both.

  4. I see some have issues with the LR4 not working correctly when it’s on carpet. I have the LR3 on carpet but I set it on a piece of plywood. Would this setup work for the LR4? Right now I don’t have hard floor where I can put the box.
Hi Smartshopper! Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, setting it on a piece of plywood would help. It provides a firm level surface for the unit to sit on.

  5. I have the robot 3 which lasts around 1 week before emptying is needed. How long would I expect the robot for to last?
The Litter-Robot 4 disperses the clumps more evenly so you can expect to go longer between changes than the LR3.

  7. Can you use Feline Pine cat litter?
No, Feline Pine pellets are too large to pass through the sifting screen, which prevents the litter sifting system from working properly. Feline Pine clumping is also too fluffy to effectively pass through the sifting screen.

  9. Does this product is available in US or UAE Amazon?

in case not available in Amazon, I have address in New York from shipping company will handle to deliver to UAE and I guess it will be fine. Is there anything else I should worry about proably shipping, warrenty?

    Thank you,
    Yaser
Hi Yaser. We do sell the Litter-Robot on Amazon in the US (not the Litter-Robot 4 though, just the Litter-Robot 3 Connect). The Litter-Robot is only available to the US at this moment through our website and does not start shipping out until July.

If you choose to take it out of the country, we would still honor the warranty, however, you would be responsible for any shipping costs if anything were to happen with the unit since we do not ship to the UAE. We do not recommend using a drop shipper service as we cannot guarantee you will receive the item and would not be responsible for lost/damaged items.

  10. How wide is the actual base? I put my litter box in an unused guest room bathtub so I need it to be less than 20” wide at the base (but the globe can be much wider).
It would not fit in this location. The footprint is: 22’’ x 27’’. You can view the Specifications on this page with a diagram: www.litter-robot.com/litter-robot-4.html
