I’ve wanted one for years, but I’m worried that one of my cats has softer stool and it would just smear. (Gross, I know) Are there many returns From customers who have challenges with this?
As always, we recommend using a high quality clay clumping litter—especially if your cat is prone to diarrhea. From experience, more plant-based or low quality clumping litters tend to not form tight enough clumps around diarrhea. To increase the probability that your litter clumps tight enough, you can increase the amount of time (from 7 minutes to 15) between when your cat uses the Litter-Robot and a cleaning cycle begins. That usually does the trick!
We offer the 90-day in-home trial so you can see if it'll be a good fit for you and your kitties as every household is different and it's very dependent on the litter being used.
