  2. Why can't kittens use it?
    Cats must be a certain weight in order to trigger the cat sensor. Litter-Robot 4 uses laser and weight sensor technology to detect your cat. Kittens should weigh at least 3 pounds before using Litter-Robot 4 in automatic mode. We recommend leaving Litter-Robot 4 off and only turning it on to run a clean cycle as needed until they weigh enough to reliably activate the SmartScale™.

  4. Does arm and hammer clumping / platinum litter work? What other brands of clumping clay litter Wii’s work with robot 4?
    Yes. Litter-Robot 4 will work with most scoopable/clumping cat litters. Litter beads and crystals that are small enough to pass through the screen will also work. We tend to find the best results from an unscented, standard-weight clay clumping litter such as Litterbox.com www.litterbox.com/subscribe/litter.html

  8. I'm planing to put this robot in my garage and wondering f I need to update my plug. What's wattage and Voltage for this RB4?
    Our 15V power supply can provide up to 1A of current – keep in mind, the ACTUAL amount of current drawn from the power supply will depend on the Litter-Robot.

    When the unit is cycling, the Litter-Robot consumes 2.7 Watts of power.

    Please note, we do not recommend keeping the Litter-Robot in an area that has exposure to extreme/unregulated temperatures or high humidity. These can be damaging to the electronics inside the unit.

  9. Does the litter robot 4 use the same rubber interior bottom and front edge surround material? One of my cats has shredded holes in my litter robot 3
    Great question! It would depend on when you purchased your Litter-Robot 3. The liner used to be a flexible PVC material but we switched to a TPE material in October 2021. The Litter-Robot 4 is TPE as well.

  10. Any news about making it available internationally? There is no reliable or well known automatic litter box available in the UAE. This would be a game changer. I am almost tempted to have it shipped from the USA but I’m worried about the power voltage more than damages that could occur in shipping.
    Litter-Robot 4 will initially only be available in the US. We are working to have it available in Canada, the EU, and the UK before the end of 2022 and to continue to make it available to as many people as we can in the future. If you leave the country with a robot you purchased in the USA, we will continue to honor your WhiskerCare™ Warranty. However, you may be required to pay shipping costs for repairs.
