Litter-Robot EVO: Globe liner installation guide
Learn how to remove and replace the rubber globe liner in Litter-Robot EVO.
Tools needed:
Phillips-head screwdriver
- Make sure the unit is in the Home/Ready position.

- Press the Power button to turn the unit off, then unplug the unit.

- Remove the fence from the bezel.

- Remove the bonnet: Use the handles on both sides of the bonnet to lift and rotate it upwards. Remove the bonnet and set it aside.

- Remove the globe: Lift the globe off the base by holding the rib located at the top of the globe entrance and place it on the ground nearby. This will provide access to the base unit.

- Remove the bezel from the globe: Place one hand firmly on the globe and the other on the top of the bezel. Apply even pressure to the bezel and pull it away from the globe.

- Remove the four (4) screws holding the black gear track to the back of the globe; set aside

- Remove the black gear track; set aside.

- Remove the six (6) screws holding the upper and lower halves of the globe together.

- Lift the upper half of the globe—it should now separate from the lower half—and set aside.

- Carefully remove the liner clip located in the lower-front edge of the globe using a flathead screwdriver or by hand (3 tabs and 2 edge hooks).

- Observe how the two fingers on each side of the liner clip are lying inside of the globe to hold the liner in place.

- Remove the liner from the globe.

- Place the new liner into the lower half of the globe. Starting at one end, work your way around the perimeter, pressing the liner over the outer edge of the globe.

- When you reach the mid-point, tuck the two center fingers inside the globe, on the outside of the liner.

- Align and install the front liner clip, Aligning the two edges first, then press the three tabs to be secure

- Make sure the liner clips are fully engaged.

- Lower and align the upper half of the globe with the lower half. The two halves will fit together with the overlapping edge of the liner acting as a seal

- Install the six (6) Phillips screws to secure the two globe halves back together

- Lay the globe on its face (opening down) and install the globe track to the backside of the globe using the four (4) Phillips screws.

- Ensure the gear track slot aligns with the two tabs on the globe.

Reassembly
- Replace the bezel.

- Replace the globe: Hold the globe by the bezel edge and slide it back into the base.

- Ensure the back of the globe is sitting flush in the rear bearing pocket.

- The large black gear on the rear of the globe will line up with the smaller black gear in the base.

- Replace the bonnet by aligning the tab at the back of the bonnet with the slot in the bonnet hinge.

- Rotate the bonnet downward with light pressure on the sides so that it hugs the globe. This will help ensure proper alignment of the bonnet latches in the base.

- Confirm that the two channels on each side of the base are properly aligned and that there are no gaps between the bonnet and the base.
Incorrect:

Correct:

- Re-install the fence by snapping it onto the bezel at the globe entrance.

- Plug the unit back in and power it on.
