How does WhiskerCare™ work?If you encounter any problems with your robot, please contact our Customer Experience team for immediate assistance at 877-250-7729 or chat with us. Our team is available Mon-Fri: 9AM-5PM EST (phone and live chat) and Sat-Sun: 9:30AM-5PM EST (live chat only). Returned products must be clean and free of litter; a $75 cleaning fee will be applied to products that are returned with litter or waste. In the case of a warranty claim, you may be asked to send the warranted product to us for testing, inspection, repair, or replacement. If we do not receive these, we will not be able to process your warranty claim.
What does the WhiskerCare™ Warranty cover?With the purchase of a robot, our hassle-free protection plan covers accidental damage, power surges, mechanical and electrical breakdowns, natural disasters, and software support for 1 year. During your warranty period, we will resolve robot issues at no charge, including free shipping both ways. There are never deductibles or hidden fees.
Is the WhiskerCare™ Warranty a manufacturer’s warranty?Our WhiskerCare™ Warranty goes above and beyond a typical manufacturer's warranty, giving you peace of mind that we’ve got you covered.
When does the WhiskerCare™ Warranty begin?The WhiskerCare™ Warranty begins the day that you receive your robot if purchased on litter-robot.com. Robot purchases made externally will require manual WhiskerCare™ Warranty activation before claims can be made.
Are reconditioned units covered by WhiskerCare™?Yes, reconditioned units are covered under the WhiskerCare™ Warranty and are eligible for a WhiskerCare™ Extended Warranty.
Once I purchase a robot, is there anything I need to do to activate the WhiskerCare™ Warranty?
Your WhiskerCare™ Warranty will activate immediately upon receipt of your Litter-Robot or Feeder-Robot if purchased on litter-robot.com. Robot purchases made externally will require WhiskerCare™ Warranty activation before a claim can be received. To activate, please email us at email@example.com stating that you need to activate your warranty and attach your receipt to the email.
You can also activate coverage right from your Whisker account dashboard. Just click “Activate coverage” for any robot with “Pending” status.
Does my WhiskerCare™ Warranty cover me if I move?Yes, your WhiskerCare™ Warranty continues to cover your robot even if you move. If you move to a different country, then additional shipping fees may apply.
Is my WhiskerCare™ Warranty void if I modify the robot?Modifications that may affect the original function of any Whisker product may void the original warranty, and any additional warranty coverage purchased by you, at the sole discretion of Whisker.
What is the WhiskerCare™ Extended Warranty?The WhiskerCare™ Extended Warranty extends the length of your initial WhiskerCare™ Warranty, to give you peace of mind for years to come. This comprehensive protection plan covers your robot from top to bottom for 3 years, depending on which plan is purchased. Our hassle-free plan covers accidental damage, power surges, mechanical and electrical breakdowns, natural disasters, and software support. You’ll have access to our dedicated US-based customer service and software experts. During your warranty period, we will resolve robot issues at no charge, including free shipping both ways. There are never deductibles or hidden fees.
Can I buy the WhiskerCare™ Extended Warranty later?Yes, you can purchase the WhiskerCare™ Extended Warranty any time within the first year of owning your robot**.
Can I purchase the WhiskerCare™ Extended Warranty if I am the second owner of the robot?If the robot is still covered by the initial WhiskerCare™ 1-Year Warranty, then you are able to purchase the WhiskerCare™ Extended Warranty. The WhiskerCare™ Extended Warranty must be purchased within the first year of the robot’s life.
Once I purchase the WhiskerCare™ Extended Warranty, do I need to register the warranty or do anything else?Your WhiskerCare™ Extended Warranty will automatically be added to your account to cover the most recent robot you purchased from Whisker. You can view coverage status and extend your plan right from your Whisker account dashboard.
How do I file a WhiskerCare™ Warranty claim?If your Litter-Robot is covered by our WhiskerCare™ Warranty, you have access to replacement parts, at no cost, to get your Litter-Robot up and running quickly. Our Troubleshooting Wizard will solve most issues and is the fastest way to get help.
What are my options if my Litter-Robot is out of warranty?We offer out-of-warranty repair services and replacement parts for purchase. Our Troubleshooting Wizard will solve most issues and is the fastest way to get help. If you feel that your unit is in need of repair, please get in touch with Whisker Customer Experience. We'll discuss what the options are for your unit and open up a repair ticket if necessary.
