Litter-Robot Open Air Feature: Automatic Night Light
Cats generally have excellent vision, but aging and illness can diminish their ability to see in low light conditions. The Litter-Robot is equipped with an Automatic Night Light to help guide your cat to the litter box.
The Litter-Robot arrives with the Automatic Night Light function activated and a light sensor located above the Cycle button turns the Night Light on and off automatically. When the light sensor detects low light, the Night Light turns on.
The Bonnet provides a mount location for the Night Light, wires, and electrical terminals that provide a low and safe 5VDC to the Night Light LED.
Check the status of the Night Light function by covering the light sensor (located above the Cycle button on the Control Panel) to see if the Night Light comes on or not.
To turn the Night Light function off, press and hold the Power button for about 5 seconds. The Night Light will come on, then turn off.
To turn the Night Light function on, press and hold the Power button for about 5 seconds. The Night Light will flash on and, depending on the ambient light, the Night Light will either stay on (if low light) or turn off (if bright light).
