Litter-Robot 4 features the all-new SmartScale™ that lets you monitor kitty’s activity and weight through the Whisker app. If your Litter-Robot 4 sits on carpet (or you plan to use it on carpet), you can improve the accuracy of SmartScale™ weight readings by placing our specially designed carpet tray between the unit and the floor.

No, the Litter-Robot 4 Carpet Tray is not required. If your Litter-Robot 4 sits on hard flooring or firm carpeting (thinner than 3mm or 1/8 inch), SmartScale™ technology to record cat weight is most accurate. When placed on thicker carpets or uneven flooring, you can improve the accuracy of weight readings by using the carpet tray.
When to use
The Litter-Robot 4 Carpet Tray may be used on carpets and rugs 3mm (1/8 inch) thick and up, which typically include shag, high-pile, and medium-pile. The carpet tray is not needed for low-pile or flatweave carpets and rugs. It can also be used on firm surfaces that are uneven, such as tile.
