When will my Litter-Robot 3 ship? Will I receive my cat litter first?
You may receive your cat litter separately from your Litter-Robot 3 and other accessories. Please view our Litter-Robot 3 shipping schedule. Your order will be prioritized in our queue based on your order date. You can reference your order confirmation email if you’re unsure of your order date. You will also receive email confirmation when your unit ships.
How do I use the LitterTrap® Mat with Litter-Robot?
Place the LitterTrap® Mat only in front of Litter-Robot. Do not place the LitterTrap® Mat underneath the Litter-Robot (fully or partially).
How often do I need to replace the Litter-Robot Waste Drawer Liner or OdorTrap® Packs?
Replace the waste drawer liner whenever you need to empty the waste drawer. How often you empty the waste drawer depends on the number and size of your cats. For two average-sized cats, twice per week is typical. For a single cat, once per week is usually sufficient. For optimal odor absorption, we recommend changing the OdorTrap® Pack every 2 weeks, but replacement frequency is up to you and your cats' usage patterns.
How do I use OdorTrap® Packs with Litter-Robot 3 Connect?
Follow these directions: 1. Tear the package at the notch and remove a pack. Note: Do not pour out the beads. 2. If you purchased a pod (holder), place the pack inside the pod and snap shut. Remove the adhesive backing from the included magnet; place the magnet against the pod with the adhesive facing out. 3. Place the pack or pod in the Litter-Robot waste drawer near the carbon filter. 4. Reseal the pouch to keep remaining packs fresh.
Will my cat actually use Litter-Robot 3 Connect?
Cats are generally curious and tend to investigate new things. Those already familiar with a covered litter box may be quicker to investigate the Litter-Robot. The trick is to ease your cat into transitioning to the Litter-Robot. You can avoid startling your kitty by leaving the Litter-Robot switched off until you notice your cat has used it. We recommend that you place the Litter-Robot in the same location as the old litter box. You can leave the old litter box near the Litter-Robot for a short time. Take a cup of litter from the old litter box and add it to the clean litter in the Litter-Robot. The scent will be familiar, and your cat should be inclined to check it out. Can kittens use Litter-Robot 3 Connect?
The Litter-Robot 3 Connect senses when your cat enters and exits the globe, which triggers the countdown timer and cleaning cycle. Kittens and small cats that weigh less than 5 pounds may not be heavy enough to trigger the cat sensor. Therefore, kittens and small cats that weigh less than 5 pounds can use the Litter-Robot, but not in automatic mode. Until they weigh enough, we recommend using your Litter-Robot in "semi-automatic" mode to keep your cat safe and relieve you from litter box scooping. For "semi-automatic" mode, leave the Litter-Robot switched off or unplugged. When you see your cat has used it, wait about 7 minutes for the waste to clump, then turn it on/plug it in. The Litter-Robot will automatically perform a clean cycle (which takes about 2 ½ minutes). Afterward, turn it off/unplug it again. Continue this supervised, semi-automatic mode until your kittens have gained sufficient weight to activate the cat sensor.
Does Litter-Robot 3 Connect have a weight limit?
No, the Litter-Robot 3 Connect does not have a weight limit. With entryway dimensions of 16"H x 10.25"W and interior globe dimensions of 15"-17"H (depending on litter level) x 20"W x 20"D, almost any domestic cat can fit comfortably inside the globe. However, your cat must weigh at least 5 pounds to trigger the cat sensor.
Does Litter-Robot 3 Connect require special litter?
No, Litter-Robot 3 Connect does not require special litter. Litter-Robot works well with almost any clumping or scoopable litter. Litter beads and crystals that are small enough to pass through the screen will also work. Litter-Robot is not compatible with litters that are strictly absorbent, non-clumping, loose-clumping, newspaper-based, or wood-based pellets. We suggest all-natural premium cat litter for Litter-Robot (one bag is included in this bundle!).
Will Litter-Robot 3 Connect eliminate litter box odors?
No, Litter-Robot 3 Connect will not eliminate all litter box odors. However, because waste is promptly removed and contained in the base, typical litter box odors will be reduced significantly. You can opt to replace the carbon filter with OdorTrap® Packs to eliminate litter box odors through natural chemistry. Most users suggest that Litter-Robot drastically reduces and or even eliminates litter box odors.
Can I use the app with both iOS and Android?
The Whisker app is compatible with Apple mobile devices with iOS 13.0 or greater and Android devices 8.0 or greater. Both the iOS app and the Android app are available to download.
Can I connect the app to multiple Litter-Robots?
Yes. You can onboard multiple WiFi-enabled Litter-Robots to the same app. If others in your household want to use the app, they can simply download the app to their device and log in with the same account.
Will Litter-Robot connect to my WiFi network?
Our robots require a 2.4 GHz WiFi signal and IPv4 addressing (5 GHz band and IPv6 are not supported). Our robots are unable to connect to shared networks (apartment complexes, college dorms, etc.).

How is Scoops Saved calculated?
For each cycle, the tracker increments the Scoops Saved count by one, estimating the total number of scoops you’ve avoided. The count may vary with the occasional cycle that does not scoop litter or cycles that clean up multiple cat bathroom visits, but on average, each cycle represents one scoop saved!My Scoops Saved number doesn’t look right; what can I do?
If your scoops saved doesn’t look right you can reset it back to zero by navigating to your robot settings screen and clicking the option to reset your scoops saved. Please note resetting your scoops saved cannot be reversed!If I already have an account on litter-robot.com, do I have to log in again when using the app to make purchases?
We offer single sign-on, which means you will be automatically signed into your litter-robot.com account when using the app. Both accounts will synchronize automatically. That being said, if you set up your app account and litter-robot.com account using different email addresses, this single sign-on will not work.
How do I access my orders and subscriptions from litter-robot.com in the App?
You can access your orders and subscriptions from the App’s bottom navigation bar in the new “Account’’ tab.
Can I pause my active subscriptions in the app?
Yes, you can pause any of your active subscriptions for up to a year. To do this, tap on the “Account” tab in the bottom navigation bar, then “Subscription Management” and then “Edit Subscription”.
Does the Scoops Saved number include scoops from when my Litter-Robot 3 was not connected?
Your Litter-Robot 3 does not have the ability to track your Scoops Saved when it is not connected to the internet. Therefore, any cycles that may have occurred when your Litter-Robot 3 was not connected to the internet will not be reflected in your Scoops Saved total.
