Litter-Robot 4: Night light not coming on or shutting off

Although cats generally have excellent vision, aging and illness can diminish their ability to see in low-light conditions.

Litter-Robot is equipped with an automatic night light, or globe light. The light not only adds to the aesthetic of your Litter-Robot, it will also provide additional light to those cats that need it.

The Litter-Robot arrives with the automatic night light function enabled. You can set the light to always on, off, or automatic. You can also adjust the brightness of the night light.

How to change the night light setting

To enter the automatic night light setting mode, press and hold the Reset  Button button.

The light bar will indicate the current setting.

1 green light displayed → Always OFF
2 green lights displayed → Always ON
3 green lights displayed → Automatic mode

Automatic mode: When the light sensor, located in the control panel, detects low-light conditions, the night light turns on automatically.

Subsequent short presses of the Reset button will toggle through the settings.

After selecting the preferred setting, a 3-second long press of the Reset button will save the setting.

This feature is also available in the Whisker app.
