  We are always working to improve the App experience for Whisker customers. This release is focused on the addition of a few new helpful messages in the Message Center as well added language support for Korean and Thai.   This update includes a few exciting updates: 

  • The launch of the Whisker Message Center. You’ll see a notification icon on the top right corner of your App where you can go to see new messages from Whisker relating to your robots or pets, as well as helpful tips & tricks from the Whisker team. 

  • In an effort to ensure that Litter-Robot 4 customers always have the latest features and enhancements, we are going to start automatically updating the firmware on our customers' robots as soon as a new release is available. If you prefer to not receive these updates, you can opt-out within the Mobile App. If you then wish to update your firmware manually, please follow these instructions: Firmware Update Instructions.

  • Better onboarding support for Litter-Robot 4 users in their discovery of how to get the most out of SmartScale(r).

  Hello, pet parents! We have some exciting updates for you in this release:

  • Introducing weight-based ID using SmartScale®, and gradually releasing to all users!

  • Create profiles for all of your cats that use Litter-Robot 4 and monitor your kitty’s weight changes on their profile 

  • SmartScale® technology will attempt to match the weight data from your Litter-Robot 4 to the corresponding cat’s profile

  • **Please note: The weight-based ID feature is not effective for cats within 0.5 lbs (~0.23 kg) of each other, as it relies on significant weight differences for accurate identification. Also in this release:

  • Language enhancements: We've fine-tuned our translations for Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, and Ukrainian to ensure a seamless user experience for our global community. 

  • Improved QR scanner: We've optimized the performance of our QR scanner, resolving some issues that made scanning slow on some devices.

  Welcome to our updated UI and brand: the Whisker app (formerly AutoPets Connect). With our rebrand from AutoPets to Whisker, the app allows you to monitor and control your robot as before – now with a modernized design and more intuitive interface.

To ensure that Litter-Robot 4 customers always enjoy the latest features and improvements, we will now automatically update the firmware on your robots as soon as a new release becomes available. For additional detials, please refer to our Terms and Conditions.

In order to enable this new algorithm, you will need to take a few minutes to recalibrate your Litter-Robot 4; this shouldn’t take more than 5 minutes of your time.
