What is IFTTT?

IFTTT, which is an acronym for “If This, Then That,” is a free and easy platform that allows all of your apps and smart home devices to talk to each other. Connected products such as the Litter-Robot integrate their API with IFTTT so that users like yourself can simply point, click, and connect all of your smart home products without writing a single line of code—it’s that easy! For example, both Litter-Robot and iRobot connected so that whenever your unit cycles, your Roomba shoots on over to vacuum the area.

How To Use IFTTT With the Litter-Robot


To connect your Litter-Robot with IFTTT, you’ll need a smartphone or computer, the Litter-Robot 3 Connect and Connect app, and an IFTTT account.

  • Log in to IFTTT.com or the IFTTT app.

  • Search for Litter-Robot or visit IFTTT.com/whisker and click connect.

  • You’ll be prompted to log in to your Litter-Robot account (the same account that you use with our app). Select which Litter-Robot in your home you’d like to connect.

  • Browse our recommended Applets for Litter-Robot events that will trigger subsequent smart home actions. Or you can create your own Applet!

  • When the action is triggered, you’ll receive a notification on your phone (optional).

Litter-Robot Applets

Think of Applets as “mini apps” that link two or more services together: When one action happens, another follows. Browse the Applets that connect an action related to your Litter-Robot with another smart home trigger. Want your Sonos to play “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap” whenever the Litter-Robot is full?
